Take me back to the PNW; the Oregon coast is my absolute favorite. This place was amazing - the views, the room, everything - and the hospitality was great. #tiktokgostay #pnw #oregon #beach #fyp

Im not sorry for posting this, I spent a month trying to get ahold of Mindie and told them I would restrain from leaving a review and try and work this out directly with them. Paul acted prejudicial behavior toward myself and threatened to call the cops after he called our room in the middle of the night alleging reports of screaming and doors slamming. The only problem is he called the wrong room. No apology from him.

My wife and I booked a stay with this hotel for three nights starting, checking in 1/2/25 and checking out on the 1/5/25. We got a room on the 2nd floor on the south end of the building. At approximately 150am on January 6th the hotel room phone started ringing. It woke me up and I rolled over and answered it. The person at the front desk said there were multiple reports of screaming and doors slamming coming from our room. My wife and I were both in bed and the TV was off and neither of us heard any commotion or sounds around us. I put on a pair of shorts and shoes and went down to the front desk immediately to find out more of what was going on as we have stayed in hotels before (lincoln city January 2022) where fights have broken out in the hotel requiring paramedics in the middle of the night. To get to the front desk I had to walk north along the hallway to the main elevator and go down a floor. Upon exiting the elevator I could see the front desk employee (later I found out his name is Paul, and I have had previous pleasant interactions with him on another trip), I said to him, "you called?". He replied that there were multiple reports of screaming and doors slamming coming from our room, I told him that this was improbable as both my wife and I were in bed and suggested some of the noise could have been from our sliding glass door and that this was our third night there and there had been no noise. He responded that I was probably aware of another domestic incident but I told him I was not. He proceeded to say "ive dealt with your type before, you think you can come down here with your chest puffed out? Your a bully", He proceeded to pick up the phone and threaten to call the police if I didnt return to our room, I hesitated but he angrily said, "Now", as I walked away he picked up the phone and said something about let him know if there were any further noise complaints. When I got back to our room I discussed this with my wife and we both agreed none of this made sense. She decide to go down to the front desk for herself and see what was going on. She said that Paul was standing in front of the lobby counter and saw her get off the elevator, she mentioned that I had come down to see what was going on. Things started to escalate between Paul and my wife and he said they didnt need a incident and she told him that he was the one creating it. She left and returned to the room as well. We both spent the night on eggshells not sure what was going to happen next. The next morning we checked out and I explained the incident to the front desk and they said that they have two rooms with the same number as there are two separate buildings on the property. Paul had called our room by mistake and they posted a $50 credit on our account. My wife and I agreed on our trip home that this was unacceptable and initially contacted the hotel on January 6th and received a call from Mindie on January 7th, we discussed the incident and she said Paul worked weekends and she would need to talk to him first, I clarified that I would expect to hear from here the following week but didnt. I called again on January 16th, asking for Mindie and being prompted to leave a voicemail for Mindie and most recently on January 27th being prompted to leave a voicemail again. This time however I told the front desk that we were not getting our calls returned and the attendant said she would make a note and deliver it to her personally. We have never left a negative review or demanded anything from the hotel. No one ever verified in these encounters which room we...

We booked through Travelocity. We were supposed to stay in a room with an ocean view, a king bed, a balcony, and a jetted tub in front of the window. The morning of our trip, we received a cancelation email in the spam box saying the room was canceled. We called, my partner spoke to the assistant manager who did go ahead and rebook the room, but left us feeling less than confident about that. She was clearly distracted during the phone Callander, and when asked if early check in was available, she said things like "the early bird gets the worm" and "check in when you get here and we'll give you what's available." We verified the room she had just rebooked was the same room we originally booked.

When we showed up, the front desk person told us the assistant manager had called us and left a message saying the room we paid for wasn't available; we were driving through the forest on our way to the hotel when they called, so this voicemail was not delivered until after we arrived. Regardless, they had already canceled the room once, and when correcting that issue, they were less than interested in making sure they were doing things the right way. Had they done that correctly when we called to fix the first issue, we likely wouldn't have had the rest of the trouble.

The room we got was at a different property altogether, had no balcony, and the jetted tub was in the bathroom instead of in front of the window, with jets that bubbled but didn't do much else and controls that did not work. The "penthouse" neighbors were flipping furniture or bowling all night it seems, so it was like staying under a moderately busy construction site. The neighbors next door were living their lives and having fun, but because they are literally 5 feet from your window, there jsnt any way not to hear them. If you close the window, it's warm because no AC, if you close the window, it's loud and you deal with that. That's not an ideal situation for the price you're paying for that room to have a peaceful getway.

The most disappointing part was that the windows were totally fogged, on the outside or in between the double-panes so the "ocean view" was sort of irrelevant; it was like smearing Vaseline on glass and trying to see the view through that blur. That clearly isn't a new problem, so it's a bummer that they don't seem to care enough to fix it. If we'd had the balcony we paid for, it wouldn't have mattered as much. Don't include "ocean view" as an amenity and jack up the price for that view if the view is actually impeded. The front desk person also said that the "other room" was $50 less but they kept the price the same. Perhaps she misspoke and meant the room she gave us was $50 less than the original room, but it left us wondering if we were paying more for a room with fewer amenities.

The benefit is that you are very close to the beach and it's just a trot down a couple sets of stairs to an almost deserted stretch of beach (deserted ar least for our stay). The room is nice, it's comfortable and close to a lot of shopping and eating, if you're into that. We were looking for a stress-free, peaceful, quiet getaway and this was definitely not that.

The staff we interacted with were polite enough, but certainly didn't behave like people who really cared about our experience or the value of the purchase we made from them. There was a lot of sort of shoulder shrugging "not sure what to tell you" vibes around the whole experience. It wasn't the worst hotel experience I've had, but I wouldn't spend that kind of money on that particular...

Once upon a time this was a wonderful place, but not anymore!!!||||Multiple issues occurred with our stay.||||Upon our arrival we saw that the parking garage was littered with cigarette butts and construction equipment such as ladders and old screen doors. Very trashy, and not exactly a great first impression.||Walking up to the lobby, we saw that the entryway lights were broken and more trash litter on the ground. ||At reservation, I had asked for a top floor and was told at check in "we got as close to the top as possible*. We got the 4th floor not the 5th as promised. The front desk woman was standoff and rude. Not exactly a good first impression either. I should have seen this as a warning for what horrible conditions awaited us. ||||Upon entering the room, we saw I did not get the romance package as promised and paid extra for. And to make matters worse, upon further inspection, the room was not clean!!!||The towels in the bathroom were wet! There were scrapes on the walls, cracks in the tile, no cups, a broken coffee cup, mold and mildew in the shower and shower curtain, the beach view window was dirty, fingerprints and stains on the sofa and bedside table, a dusty fireplace, and a used earplug on the ground! This was not exactly the hotel experience we paid so much money for!!!||We returned to the lobby, and asked the front desk GM to help, she did come up and got us new towels and did some spot cleaning. She said she was going to reverse the romance package charge and give us a good discount as this was our 1 year wedding anniversary and we paid premium price.||Then, we never heard from her again.||I then took a good hour and a half cleaning up the room, washing the window, and wiping down the stains. I cleaned the shower, and dusting the fireplace, just to feel more at ease and comfortable.||The next day, I saw my bank card had been charged twice for the romance package...not refunded as promised.||My husband talked with the front desk. They said they were going to fix it. This was now money spent I couldn't use. The front desk said that the manager was going to be in the next day and we could speak to them about our experience. ||Then the morning of the check out, we left early, dropped our room keys off, and didn't see a manager.||Then, I checked my bank account to see the status, and the hotel charged my card again!!! Only this time Double the cost causing my account to be overdrawn! I'm now furious! My husband called the hotel and demanded for a manager to call us back. Nothing happened. No phone call, email, text, or attempt to follow up has been done.||I had to go to the bank that afternoon and get a new debit card to stop the charges for continuing to happen!! ||I will never EVER stay here again!!!!||I will be claiming fraud on my card for the hotel did not have permission to make so many charges! The hotel staff dropped the ball and made my 1st wedding anniversary extremely stressful. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed and dissatisfied I am with how much they charge for how little we received. You can stay in souch nicer hotels for much less money!!||The hotel has gone way down hill from when I stayed last. ||New management, and lack of cleaning staff is not an acceptable excuse when you have standards and expectations for a certain reputation. This hotel is supposed to be a romantic getaway. Trashy grounds, rude staff with a lack of customer service and support make this hotel a 1 of 5...
