Heliflights — Attraction in Linden

Do not use this company!!!

My partner booked a Manhattan doors off helicopter tour back in March prior to us coming out to New York on the 18th November.

He was a bit dubious about this company after booking as we seen a lot of people use Flynyon, so of course he made sure to keep in contact with the company both via email & telephone call to ensure it was all booked etc. We also received communication from them which wasn’t instigated by my partner.

So we were due to have our tour on the 22nd November, obviously the weather wasn’t the best the day before and we knew that if bad weather was forecast then it would not go ahead. However, we had not heard anything from the company, so we thought great all is good to go ahead.

On the day of the booking we came to the destination, which was almost an hour and half away from New York which costed us $110 in a taxi. To only arrived and be told that it has been cancelled, which we received no correspondence to tell us so. So all in all we had spent $210 on taxis and a waste of our time!!! We completely understand their reasons for cancelling as they had decided the day before to cancel our tour but to not tell us is another thing!!!

FURTHERMORE… we have been issued a refund but they noted in their email to us “as a good will gesture we have refunded you, even though our policy states we don’t do refunds”

Absolutely SHAMBOLIC, as they want to keep your money and try and get you to reschedule but of course we were tourists from the U.K. and we were going home the next day.

Absolutely Unforgettable – A NYC Must-Do! The Manhattan: Doors Off Helicopter Experience – For THREE

This was hands-down one of the most exhilarating and memorable experiences we've ever had in New York. We did the doors off helicopter flight with a group of three, and every single second was pure magic. From the start, the team at Heliflights was professional, welcoming, and made sure we felt safe and prepared — especially with the doors off!

The views were absolutely unreal. Flying over the city with our feet hanging out, wind rushing past, and the entire Manhattan skyline laid out before us — it's hard to put into words. It’s a thrilling mix of awe, adrenaline, and total wonder. We hit all the iconic spots: the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Empire State Building, Freedom Tower, and more. The foot selfie opportunities alone were worth it!

Our pilot was fantastic — smooth flying, great commentary, and clearly experienced. The private nature of the tour (just the three of us, no strangers) made it even more special. It felt like our own VIP adventure above the greatest city in the world.

If you're on the fence, do it. Just make sure your devices are strapped in tight (rent the straps — totally worth it) and bring your best camera. This is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience, and we’re already dreaming of...
