Tanger outlet mall is... well its an outlet mall. There are several worthy stores to shop, but as with every outlet mall: all of the shops seem to feel like knock-off versions of themselves and not entirely authentic. I've done price comparisons on outlet stores before and usually the savings aren't huge, but there are a few stores in this mall that will have deals that are a decent savings. As you would expect, the bigger ticket items are the things worth coming out of your way for. Genuine leather goods, suits, and the like have the best savings and because they don't end up in the $5 bin, they tend to be of better variety and quality, and its that way for nearly every store and almost every store is a clothing store, at its core. They just added an Olive Oil store which, for the life of me, I thought was kind of stupid. I like the concept of getting quality olive oil, but an entire store dedicated to it? Enjoy going out of business. So, I went into the store and while you can tell it was put together with a budget, the olive oil there is actually pretty good. Try the Mushroom and Garlic with some italian bread: divine. There are a few little food spots there, in case you get hungry, but honestly, just drive a few minutes out of your way and go to a spot that offers better food and is not as crowded (just go to the other side of the...
Read moreDisclaimer: Review is only based off of the few stores (Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, VS, etc.) from my most recent visit.
I have lived out of state for nearly 6 years and usually always visit Tanger on my yearly visits home as I have very few shopping options near my current location. Unlike most trips, I was on a mission to find a dress to wear to my sibling's wedding. While I understand that CO-VID has created challenges for everyone, I was shocked at the general lack of cleanliness especially due to current circumstances.
In both sanitary appearance and available inventory, I would compare the state of these stores to what follows a Black Friday Sale- Dirty and picked over, with seasonally inappropriate clothing remains and "tired" employees (excl. the VS greeter, she was helpful and very polite).
As said, I fully acknowledge that individual stores have their own standards and a margin of exception is due during this pandemic. Regardless, I was highly disappointed in the mall's notable decline over the years. I believe that Tanger Outlets' management of quality control should be taking a larger stance in consistency throughout their stores.
Throughout years growing up in Georgia, I have fond memories of shopping at Tanger with my mother, sisters, and friends. Unfortunately, I will likely cross it off of my shopping list...
Read moreMost unsatisfying “mall” not just coach — they barely have anything worth buying. The coach store is all off spent 700 and some change and no one wanted to help me so just look at me ok sure. I was buying another pair of boots 👢 if she wanted to help she could have told me they run smaller size than tother pair that I have In my shopping bag.first they do not fit and they are uncomfortable at the top of it where are your foot slides and it feels like it’s cutting it. I live far away I can’t get back there and plus I work and have children looks like I’m stuck. Did not feel great After leaving. The fire alarm went off and multiple times along with the theft alarm. I know it’s an outlet store , when you buy from the coach store I got my initials engraved into the purses that I bought at Coach many times ,so why isn’t the service offered at this location? It’s like they don’t give much of a discount to begin with .The other stores there were out of most things, trash cans overflowing. Most stores only size they had available were small. The Nike, Reebok, lucky 🍀 stores had very old styles available and they didn’t have 9-10-11 sizes. Most places like journeys were sold out unless you were trying to buy top-of-the-line and they had one or two...
