Owners a judgemental jerk!
Update: I’m updating my original review above as owners response says he tried to offer a full refund and we were on his property smoking and littering. He also make it sound like he was calm and rational. The truth is your refund was NOT a FULL REFUND and it was only out of haste and we did not smoke on your course as you make it sound nor did you ask nicely for anything. Therefore I feel the need to give more detail as to what really happened and how we were treated. So everyone can see you for who you really are and how you treat customers.
My whole family had finished our game of golf. We were respectful and did not smoke or anything the entire time. After, while the kids were counting up the scores my fiancé and I stepped out of area to the edge of sidewalk well away from anyone and any entrances or exits. No-one was around. We might smoke but try to be respectful of those who don’t. If you know me you know that to be true!
The owner told us he absolutely hates smokers and if you’re a smoker that means you liter and he’s tired of picking up cigarette butts all the time from “us smokers”. As he stormed up to us out of nowhere and claimed we were on his property and we needed to get off! He also said that “we don’t want to see him angry.” Mind you he said all of this with an angry raised voice. We didn’t even know he was the owner until he claimed we were on his property. We were on the edge of his property/sidewalk so we moved further onto sidewalk. He then started yelling again and at that point my kids were right there trying to see what was going on. Had he talked to us like adults & customers with curtesy I would’ve told him we always dispose of cig butts properly, even at home. It’s actually one of MY pet peeves. So a BIG stickler on that. Instead he threw a fit out of no where and over nothing WE had actually done. He claimed he had customers to take care of. I said yep! we’re customers. If this is how you treat them you’ve got horrible customer service. That’s when he stormed off and came out offering barley anything of what we paid. A full refund would’ve been almost $60 but instead he came out with $20. Claiming we still needed to get the hell off his property.
Sir, Public sidewalks are just that-public. It’s not your property and you don’t judge and yell at customers or even potential customers out of nowhere when they’ve done absolutely nothing wrong. It’s not the way to run a business if you want repeat customers and we vacation at Long Beach all the time as well as recommended places there to our friends.
Dear owner the reality is you don’t own the sidewalk or the air. You cannot treat anyone that way, PERIOD. You discriminate against smokers and apparently judge them all the same. Well guess what? We’re NOT all the same! My family doesn’t liter, cigarette butts or otherwise. In fact I pick up liter that’s not mine when able.
But I guess because I smoke like billions of others in your judgmental eyes we all throw our butts on the ground. You only offered $20 to say you offered it. Like you’re some big wig while puffing your chest out yelling. It wasn’t to apologize for jumping to judgement because when I said I don’t want your money you INSTANTLY pocketed it. You didn’t even know we were customers in the first place and obviously didn’t know how much actually we paid. If you really wanted to make it right you would’ve used your words in a calm respectable manner, listened and talked it out. Then apologized and offer an actual FULL REFUND for your terrible behavior and accusations instead of yelling and accusing with waiving $20 around. I could barely get a word in. Which is why I felt the need to leave my original review. Instead you responded to my review with further false information and accusations. If I could give negative stars I would based on you, the “owner”, and how disrespectful you were all the way around. A word of advice: Not everyone is the same. He then became irritated with my mother for not being able to maneuver her seat belt immediately. Read moreVery fun even in the rain. 10 dollars a single ride, changed to 15 for a double. Have to be 5'3" to ride alone and 12 years old. Same requirements for the double karts as a driver. Hours depend on the season which has changed. And personally don't like the bike rentals although the bikes are ok to ride. Typically the service for them I rate a 1 star. The reason is because each year for the last 2 years I've rented, the worker had gotten his attitude with me assuming I was talking bad about him or about breaking the bikes. He came at my husband with accusing me for the same thing. Then the son of the shop a year ago started the bad impression with his sour attitude towards us. Maybe it will turn around but I see no hope...
