Cozy boho coffee shop. Great vibe! Amazing food. Variety of beverage choices. Little shop with local goodies. Total YUM! My only feedback, which I tried to gently provide in person, and aside, after my food arrived: please reconsider your approach to patrons with Service Animals (vested). While I understand that some people falsely represent, for those of us who are legitimate disabled persons, being publicly (loudly) accosted as soon as crossing the threshold, from an employee behind the bar, causing the attention of other patrons, was unwelcoming and didn't feel good. My feedback was not received well. Their reasoning was that they didn't see the large red vest on my short haired black SA. No acknowledgment for my suggestion, just deflection. If you were able to see I had an accompanying animal, and made a point to call them a pet, then you absolutely saw the vest. Either way, calling attention to a disabled person in this way is not appropriate regardless of how busy you are. This interaction is not consistent with the vibe and I hope my next visit is received more warmly/gently.

The owners, managers and staff have done a wonderful job with this place. A few months ago I reconsidered going here, I had an unpleasant experience and it really set me back from returning. I talked to a manager in regards to an unpleasant situation. The manager was actively listening, she showed empathy, she even demonstrated problem-solving solutions, while analyzing any issues that were brought upon, issues were immediately resolved. She did a fine job of making me feel heard and valued. In the kindness way possible this established business made everything right. They are doing such a fine job. I have a lot of respect and compassion for what everyone does here. Beverages and food is great here. Staff and managers are very kind, and friendly. Thank you, for reconsidering me and I look forward to drinking coffee and bringing my computer to work remotely here! This place is great for students to study at.

Came for breakfast—place has a nice atmosphere, but the experience was off. Only table for four was outside in the parking lot, and we had to clean it ourselves. Despite ordering dine-in, my burrito was left on the counter until I found it. Everything was overly spiced—mouth on fire, but not in a flavorful way. Shakshuka was the same. My mouth was burning from the burrito. On the bright side, the yogurt and coffee were both good. All in all, the place has charm, but I wouldn’t recommend sitting outside, and the kitchen could use a lighter hand with the spice. Also, we did not like giving tips up front. It kind of ruins the point of it.

I really loved the atmosphere here. It's a great building with good atmosphere, a nice indoor seating area with good windows/doors that can be opened up on nice days and some nice, casual outdoor seating as well. The food looked amazing. We'll have to try the food because the menu looks great. We love coffee and were excited to find a new coffee shop in Long Beach. I really wanted to like the coffee. I tried three days in a row and each of the three days my coffee tasted completely different, despite ordering the same drink each day (latte). The first day my coffee was okay, not great, but decent roasted coffee flavor, but my husbands was strong, bitter and not drinkable. We mixed his with mine and it helped but it still wasn't great. Day two I had a better cup of coffee, but my daughter had the really bitter, strong coffee flavor. Day three, my coffee was made with sweetener on accident, was remade, and once again way too strong, bitter and not so palatable. My daughters coffee was so sweet, she could barely drink it. I brought my coffee back to our hotel, added a lot of milk and it was still not my favorite. I think some barista training would help. Each day someone different was making our coffee, so it's not an individual barista that is the problem. Maybe it's the roast of the beans? But most likely it's the way the coffee is made. Latte's, Americano's, with and without sweetner, the coffee was inconsistent with at least one or two drinks out of four tasting awful, bitter, and way too strong. Despite all of this, the atmosphere is so nice, we'll probably be back again next year hopeful that someone has trained everyone to make a great coffee. The place...

soft open

sort of swanky decor. Heavy plates and cutlery, and cloth napkins

banana bread was very good. If one does not want butter on it, let the counter know ham and cheese croissant was clearly made in-house and closer to French croissants than to the crescent rolls found everywhere else. It's really hard to keep the butter cold over the hours it takes to make them, and these were not as fragile as might have been (filled croissants are always a little denser than pure ones) the hash was a plurality of good corned beef, not potatoes. I'm not sure potatoes were second: pepper, cabbage, and eggs were generous as well. The components are left in medium pieces rather than minced, riced, or chopped in an equally-sized collection. The eggs were poached perfectly grapefruit juice tasted fresh-squeezed decaf lattes were solidly good, and served in traditional bowl-like mugs (sugar on hand as a sweetener) the Dutch Baby was a dense, flat, mildly-spiced pancake served with a lot of whipped cream and sliced strawberries. I expected a tall, puffed thing closer to a Yorkshire Pudding. Having made both, I suspect the 6" pan was not hot enough (it needs to be at the limit of what it can take, like 500°) and not large enough to have the mass to deliver a lot of heat as well as high temperature

Herself intends to return for brunch cocktails and shakshuka (not necessarily at...
