Called ahead (as we live in Vancouver, WA) to understand times & check on availability. The owner was just as kind as the reviews state & I am glad we decided to take the trip. Perfect way to spend my Cake Day!
The shop was clean, the helmets were sanitized, the owner is a great business man & runs the Go Karts & Mini-golf Course too. He answered all of our questions & helped us with directions.
Long Beach is about 20 degrees cooler than the cities & has a nice laid back atmosphere. A bit slower & so enjoyable. We ended up doing a part of the Discovery Trail.
E-Bikes have a small learning curve, but weren't hard to figure out. Definitely wear the helmets! I thought I wouldn't want to wear one, but it turns out that I never took it off from the time I left the shop until the time I returned. The bikes can go up to 20 mph, but I felt comfy between 5-10 mph. There is so much to see & lots of little places to stop for photos, look at flowers & views of the sea.
Do not ride the bikes on the dirt paths or the beach. You can ride around town or the Discovery Trail & see so much.
Thank you again for making my bday fun! We had so much fun & enjoyed the...
Read moreUnequivocally the place to stop for a bike rental in the area. They have a wide assortment of bikes to choose from, and the owner Dora was incredibly friendly. She outfitted my best friend and me with two e-bikes that appeared and rode as if they were uncrated new that morning. She took the time to explain the how to operate the e-bike to a n00b (me)--great customer service.
We explored the Discovery trail southward all the way to the light house amidst a beautiful backdrop of dunes and forest. The bikes were quite zippy, and, while we pedaled most of the time to get in some good exercise, I may or may not have goosed it once or twice for a little exhilaration!
Although it was getting late in the day, we were having so much fun on those bikes we returned to our launch point and continued on northwards for a little while, and saw the basalt monolith and nearby statue. We'll be back again to explore the trail again to the...
Read moreReally rude. Didn’t believe that our boys were old enough to ride the go karts. Even specifically waited until my kid was away from their dad and got in his face threatening him if he was lying and berating him for “looking small”. Spoke with the attendant at the front desk who did not apologize or care that our children were treated so poorly and was rude and sarcastic to me. He even quizzed me on my boys’ birthdates so I could “prove I wasn’t lying”. Terrible customer service. Rude operator and even ruder front desk person. I would be calling a manager or owner if I thought there was someone different to speak to. I wouldn’t bother giving them any business again for the way they think is acceptable to...
