Such a beautiful wooden sculpture. If you’re curious about walk-ability, the sculpture is about an 8 minute walk from the main Arch on the boardwalk and about a minute from the Sid Snyder entrance parking. If you’re looking to get in quick and get out, the Sid Snyder entrance is preferred. One issue I experienced, which is to no fault of the maintenance and display of the sculpture, was the number of e-bikes and their riders blocking the main path, off the trail, up to the Whale sculpture. If you’re walking, it’s recommended to use the boardwalk as many of the tourist e-bike riders have no sense of common courtesy or sharing the “roadway”. Overall, a fun addition to the sight-seeing...
Read moreThis beach is CrAZy busy! There was at least 100 people, if not more! I also didn't see the gray whale Skelton, but I also wasn't looking for it. There must have been a flying kite competition cause they were blocked off in sections with a bunch of people flying kites in their area. They kites were awesome to see! This particular day the ocean was pretty crazy so not many people were in the water. Long Beach to walk for miles. Careful of cars!! They are allowed to drive on the beach.
