EDIT: After talking with the owner regarding the incident I've decided to raise the stars up to 4. The owner is a very friendly and professional individual who cares about his customers. The incident outlined below was with an individual employee and the owner has gone out of his way to ensure it doesn't happen again. My team and I happily return to this store every other week now.

----- OUT DATED ----- Excellent selection of products with most items in stock. Nice terrain available for play. That said, I have to give this place 2 stars. Friends and I came in to play Warhammer, but because it was "DnD Night", we were told we could only use a couple of tables. Fair enough, but the employee insisted it was for space reasons and not needed number of tables. Even minor problem solving could have made everyone happy, but the only employee in the store was unwilling to work with use to easily solve the issue. He made illogical and repeatedly inconsistent statements about why he wasn't willing to facilitate three tables. Then he disappeared and hid from us for the rest of the night. The third table ended up going to waste as it remained "off limits", despite the very small turn out...

Heart of Gold is the perfect name for this place! All of my visits to other game stores in the past have been awkward at best, or I was completely snubbed because I'm not a dude. This store was absolutely welcoming and good vibes the entire time.

I was really impressed by the selection of Minis and all the painting supplies. Board game selection looked good. They have what you need for DnD, Warhammer, MTG, and Pokémon, plus Indie Games too. The whole place was really clean and tidy. Covid Precautions were followed and taken seriously, which made me feel really safe. The gaming table area looked inviting. Prices were reasonable or cheaper than I expected.

Had an awesome chat with Michael about TTRPGs and Indie Game Development. He's great conversation and has excellent customer service. I left the store feeling pumped, I can't say that about any other game store I've visited! Also received a 10% DM Discount with my purchase, which totally made my day!

I'm so bummed I don't live in Longmont because I would totally go here often to play. This store is a Gem and worth supporting. Definitely going to try to visit whenever...
