My dog loves it here. Its the only place really that's near by and she can get off leash and run in the grass. I cant do it at the dog park cause the bigger dogs want to have her for lunch. But she lives to run and she loves the grass. It makes her happy so it makes me happy. Also its one of the few parks downtown that you can sit, lay down, stretch out and read a book or just people watch. It seems everywhere else i.e. perishing square, and the main library are so concerned with the thought that homeless people might lay down there that any resemblance if enjoying yourself is taken from it. Unless u just want to stand and at it...while your dog urinates. I guess they prefer dog urine to homeless people. Here's a piece of info for you...did you know the lawn including the fountains, the resteraunt Pino that's on the library property and they walkway on the far side of the building are not owned by the city? It's all owned by US Bank. I think it quite odd that city assets especially the grounds around the library are owned not by us but by a big corporation? And they make the rules. I failed to ask if the public library was still owned by the public. I really should have. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised...Pershing square...another "city park"...again not owned by the city but an outside corporation.who is selling off public assets to corporations and why.
