TERRIBLE experience
I’ve been a loyal customer West Hills Nail Spa for quite some time, but my recent visit was an absolute nightmare. I had made a 2 PM appointment for three people, specifically requesting my usual technician to remove my gel tips and get a regular mani-pedi. When I arrived, my technician greeted me and suggested I do gel again since my nails looked healthy. I agreed, and we started the process. My feet were soaking for the pedicure, and the technician was working on my hands when suddenly, the receptionist (who I was told is one of the three owners) burst in and started yelling at me. He loudly insisted that my appointment was not for gel and continued to shout, completely disrupting what should have been a relaxing experience. The technician was visibly uncomfortable, and I was stunned by the owner's unprofessional and aggressive behavior. A nail spa is supposed to be a peaceful place, yet I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable, all because I agreed to an additional service that I was fully prepared to pay for. I left with a partially done manicure, no pedicure, and no apology from the owner. To make matters worse, they still charged me for the unfinished work! I had to go to another salon to fix what they had started, adding unnecessary time, money, and stress to my day.
The only person who showed any remorse was the poor technician, who kept apologizing on behalf of the owner. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, and I highly recommend others avoid this place if they expect a professional and...
Read moreI went in for a pedi and gel nails last night, the nail tech who did my nails was extremely sweet however she started to use a drill instead of soaking off my nails when I asked her if this was going to damage my nails she told me no and that it was used to remove gel only. Fast forward to today when I called to speak to the manager about my nails bending back and being paper thin, I started the conversation by telling him I came in last night and the tech removed my gel with a drill but before I could finish my sentence he cut me off and told me that’s how everyone else does it and if I didn’t want that issue I should have gotten bio gel. I told him I’ve never had my gel removed like that and I was not told that was going to be my outcome, obviously if I was informed I would’ve chosen to walk out of there with nails that were not damaged. He continued to talk over me and raise his voice. I ended the call by hanging up the phone when I couldn’t get another word in. This explains why there were only 4 other customers in the salon at the time. I have never experienced that kind of treatment from a...
Read moreThe French Tip pedicure I got here is so bad that I wish I had asked for a refund or at least discount. The lines on my big toes were totally different, I had to ask over six times for the toes to even match each other, and even after the big toes at least looking closer to each other-- the small toes don't look like they match. I asked for a nude base and got clear... it just doesn't look like a professional pedicure and I'm not happy that I paid $84 for something that doesn't look professional. Even in the second pic, the lines on my smaller toes don't look like they're even close to matching-- some are thick, others are way more thin. French tips are supposed to look crisp and clear... this just looks cheap. I got the pedi only a few hours ago and one of the toes is already chipping.
This place is great at acrylic manicures (Bee is amazing for acrylics), but I am not coming back because this is the second time I just needed a simple French Tip pedi and both times, with two separate technicians, it's looked cheap and unprofessional--...
