Fast Food, poorly made, terrible service. I believe this location had different owners prior to , during and shortly after covid lockdown and that was when we made our first visit, checked out the menu, was not impressed and went elsewhere, The Business name remained the same, but the interior is different for this second chance visit in December 2022. The new interior was nice but I noticed and unclean floor and tables and drip buckets next to the roll up window feature. Sad to see, structural design in question SCARY...it might fall on customers! We walked up to the order station to look overhead (Fast Food Style), and a new expansive menu...Great idea for masterful, 'accomplished restaurants', questionable for new businesses, as it appears they are trying to capture every age group and food style. This was a proven fact when our order arrived. My friend ordered a bagel, lox and cream cheese which fell apart on first bite as IT WAS NOT A BAGEL...but bread dough baked in a circle with a hole! Purchase properly or Leave that expertise to a deli!! My friend complained and they supposedly remade the order, but It was the same fall apart bread base only an addition of grill marks on it. TRASH! I ordered the fruit covered waffle. The presentation looked good, but the waffle was too sweet...AH, another short cut...Cake mix was used instead of the proper waffle/pancake mix and it fell apart upon biting also. The place was empty, service was slow, and the servers were slow and unintelligent to have a conversation with. Terrible music was blaring at an incomprehensible level making it unable for patrons to engage in conversation. Low Grade, Short cut fast food for those who do not know any better especially for the price gouging they are...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place it does have a few positives, like staff friendly, open late, nice atmosphere. Now the not so great I've been there 3 times first visit they barely opened so they had some hiccups, my third visit was April, 27 I first ordered the mushroom quiche nearly $12 it literally was the size of a busqit pushed down maybe with one egg and barely any of the vegetable s, which needed to be in ittge oven longer, it came with a salad which was probably half of a person handfull and tiny bit of apple and pear hardly couple bites, now I don't mind paying but you need to have a decent portion, even going to a deli sandwiches are pricey but your getting your money worth, my plan was to share that meal with my mom but we we're quite underwhelmed so we then ordered fallafel which they didn't have so we picked the hummus plate $11 dollars comes in a small plate with 3 sections literally 4 grape tomatoes 4 broccoli florets, some very thin slices of red and green bell pepper , 2 pita, the amount of hummus was ridiculous it was just a thin spread, now comes our to go order BBQ chicken pizza after 20 minutes I go to the pick up counter to see what happened and they said they didn't know about it and asked for receipt then they said let me check if we have the right pizza , while in line I heard them say sorry the item you ordered online is out also for others trying to get to go orders, I live close and would love to go but compared to other places close buy I could get more with same quality of food elsewhere, im pulling for them. I don't know if I'll go there after spending so much and being hungry it's gonna be hard to...
Read moreI cannot begin to express how utterly disgusted I am with my experience at Crave Cafe. I was going through one of the hardest times of my life—caring for my dying father at West Hills Hospital—and all I needed was a simple meal to get through the night. Instead, I was met with disgraceful service and appalling treatment.
First off, the food is outrageously overpriced for what you get. I paid $20 for a mediocre burger that was barely worth half that. If you're looking for quality and value, do yourself a favor and go to In-N-Out or Fatburger—they'll give you more for your money, and you'll actually enjoy your meal.
After eating, I needed to use the bathroom, which took me a bit since I’d been at the hospital all day. While in there, I heard a violent knocking on the door—loud, aggressive, and unsettling, like a serial killer was trying to break in. I was startled and uncomfortable, especially given the circumstances.
When I finally finished, I was met with hostility from the staff. Everyone in the restaurant was staring at me with suspicion and unfriendly looks. They acted as if I was doing something wrong just for being in the bathroom a little longer than expected. The way I was treated—like a criminal or junkie—was beyond unacceptable. I was vulnerable, exhausted, and grieving, and instead of compassion, I received judgment and hostility.
This place has no respect for its customers, especially those going through difficult times. I will never set foot in Crave Cafe again, and I strongly advise others to avoid it. Find a place where you're treated with dignity and kindness, not suspicion...
