Today I experienced something unusual and was left with the need to express it.

As I checked my items out at self check out earlier today and was no where near finish scanning the items in my cart I was approached and stopped by the associate at self check out. I was buying some lamps along with other items and the associate said “You’ve four lamps you only scanned two”.

Not thinking anything of it I replied and said “Oh I got them, they’re the first two items I scanned” I then tried to continue scanning l, because again, I wasn’t finished. The associate then says “No you didn’t there’s only two here”.

Immediately it hit me, am i being accused of something here when I haven’t even finished scanning my items?

However, I kept my cool and responded with “Yeah I scanned them” the associate’s response again “No you didn’t” In that moment I froze and kind of stared at her in disbelief and thought to myself it’ll hit her in a minute when she realizes her mistake because here she is accusing me w/o thoroughly checking my transaction.

As she “checked” the transaction she realized she was wrong and all items had been accounted for at which point she said nothing.

Listen, I understand you’ve to try and approach shoplifters however accusing someone before they’re even trying to walk away or make a “payment” is something else.

I felt uncomfortable and a little embarrassed that I was experiencing that.

I believe this would easily gone different had she lied a little and said “Ma’am I think you scanned that twice can I double check your transaction real quick?” Or “Hey those are some nice lamps I just got some similar installed. You’re taking four? Big project?” That way the individual knows that you as an associate are aware of what they have in their cart or what they may intend to do.

Makes me realize it’s really not nice to be profiled and accused of something you didn’t do. It’s embarrassing and I hope this is read by enough ppl so the managers, if they care, address this with...

I witnessed a store employee denying service and forcing a seemingly homeless guy out of the store. I heard the protestations of the store patron who was trying to gain understanding as to why he couldn't get the supplies he came for. The store manager told him, very rudely, that he didn't require a reason and security proceeded to push him outside. The store customer was clearly angered by the action and was vehemently protesting, using some rather colorful language, while he stood outside. I was curious, so after I completed my purchase I approached the angry man outside and asked what had happened. He told me that he was asked if he needed help and after stating that he did that a manager who called himself Walter became impatient with him and condescending as well. When he objected to being spoken to in such manner he was told by Walter to leave the store. Asked for what cause the man said he kept changing the reason until ultimately they just refused to say anything. I found it a little unsettling to think that I might be treated the same way if I protested a store protocol or was dressed a little shabby. That's not the United States that...

If I could give 0 I would!!! Customer service--- very bad! Horrible! Every store would let you return without receipt, &give you store credit. I tried turn my switch covers(all new, for total of $4)Dejane didn't let me- saying its electrical-They are plastic covers..No electricity attached, okay? Had to call online, talked to the store &asked about return policy. They finally let me. (Dejane was clearly taking her time, didn't want to return for me, waited 1/2 hr almost) When to buy stuff, Ronzette charged me 5 times on 1 item I bought, WTH! She told me to walk over to customer service, went there. Cleotil sent me to return(saying to be front, she will be right back)but went somewhere, came back, I went straight to her, everyone thought I cut the line! Cleotil (the lady at customer service)was angry, totally pissed... I'm just trying to get money back for the 4 items I didn't buy, but got charged!!! Chill.... The customer service here is definitely HORRIBLE!!!! I have been to Home Depot so many times because of my new house, 1st time here, cuz I passed by. NEVER GO...

I’m here to get some wood to make some shelves for my bathroom, kitchen and some plants for my daughters garden... I go to the cutting center to get assistance from their associates he shows me some wood and I decided to go with my choice. Another associate informed me they don’t cut that specific wood... so I grab the one they do cut to fit properly. I tell the cutting association what the other associate mentioned and he said that’s fine I’ll cut it. He goes on and helps a customer and disappears!! I find him again and he said he would be back... then I see him again helping another customer... AFTER HE HAS BEEN PAGE ON THE INTERCOM 15 min ago.... so I’m waiting for him and I spot him again....he helping another customer.. In the end I had to get the manager to help me out and brought him to cut my wood and was give a discount. This lack of customer service discouraged me from continuing my shopping for my gardening I had planned... This is why I hate shopping in the hood!!

Today at 2:30pm while I was picking up an online order, my van was being robbed in the parking lot. I spend no more than 10 minutes when that happened. All my tools were stolen. I lost about $3,000 in tools and random stuff. They were professional robbers because I left my van well locked. I questioned the security who was patrolling in the parking lot and he said that they can't do anything and the home depot manager told me that they are not responsible of those type of events, yet he said that this kind of stealings happen every day. It's sad because I visit this location very often and it's meant to be a safe place for me and my stuff. It's important to enhance the security of this place because many clients have to pick up their stuff in working vehicles, so it's logical that every of them would want their belongings to be safe while buying inside the store.

I went there 2 times this week. I had ordered a item online. When I arrived the spots labeled "Online Orders Only" where taken up by customs of Home Depot. Two spaces(on each row)...had been used. This is unacceptable!! I went back earlier the next morning. My IHSS person accompanied me. I am disappointed. I took my IHSS to get my package 📦. This is crazy!! Home Depot should be aware of this. The are the pictures of me and 3 other vehicles that were inside Home Depot doing their regular shipping. The truck directly in front of my car, went into the store. The other ones were already there when I arrived. Anyway...Home Depot store manager should look into this. I was called over and over by Home Depot employees. Saying that I was there. I said that I came back home because all of the parking spots labeled for "Online Orders Only" is not being I forced 😒
