I do not recommend parking here. Twice I have been charged 7.59 and they claimed I left my car in the lot for over 24 hours, when I was only there for one hour. I always scan the discount code when I exit the parking lot and even though it says ādiscount applied,ā the system glitches and charges me. When I initially reached out for a refund via email, I was not helped and someone emailed me back an article saying how to close a visit-not relevant to the fees I was charged. It was not until I posted a review that said I was charged that I was given a different person to contact for a refund. They told me they would refund me in 3-5 days. I only got one refund. I had to reach out again and ask for the second refund. They tried to essentially bribe me to remove my bad review by offering a gift card. No. Fix your parking system. Now when I go here, I obsessively check the metropolis app to make sure the system is not glitching and charging me. And yes it has happened a third time. The system did not register my discount code or leaving the lot. This time I caught the error myself and was able to avoid the charge by closing the visit myself when I got home. However when I reached out about this, they claimed I exited from the entrance and that is why that happened. That is a lie. I would never exit incorrectly and I always exit through the center lane. I hate this parking lot. Be vigilant if you park here as they will try and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDo NOT park here, and frankly, I encourage others to boycott Valley Country Market until they fix or remove their faulty auto-pay parking system.
As others have noted, the Metropolis auto-pay parking system here is regularly faulty, regularly mis-charging or overcharging for parking, and failing to record when vehicles exit the lot. I normally come here to drop off packages at the UPS Store for what is a 10 minute visit max, applied the free parking discount, and a month later, was charged $7.59 for overnight parking anyway. I'm fed up and will be taking my business elsewhere unless this system is fixed or removed.
To Valley Country Market team - please tell your owner/managers that as long as this Metropolis system is in place the way it is, people will be nervous and discouraged from spending time at other stores, or even coming back. I don't think it's great for business long term and as it currently exists, feels like desperate profiteering. The lot is regularly dead empty during the day, and foot traffic is very low. It's not a good fit for the type of plaza you're trying to run, and the amount of business, tenancy, and growth potential, diminishes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe shopping center itself is nice, lots of small businesses but the new parking system is horrible. I think the worst part was that I had no idea they had implemented this until it was too late, I had already driven in. Very discrete signage, so shady. Then to validate and/or pay youāre giving out your phone number license plate etc etc. In order to get the 2h free, now you canāt just window shop and enjoy yourself no no. Now you have to ask someone in a shop to give you some kind of code to validate. Absolutely ridiculous. This is going to kill this shopping center. Who would go here now and deal with all this hassle? The only other thing you can do is gamble and try and get street parking but thereās not a singe thing in there to make that worth it. This is pure greed and...
