Had a great time shopping with my niece until we got to SELF check out. The young woman working up by register yesterday afternoon was extremely rude. We got to SELF check out and she walks up to us saying she's going to ring our stuff out. We thought that was strange but went with it. I asked the worker why she's ringing out stuff out but letting every other customer ring their own stuff out? She says "the higher ups want us to get closer to our customers.. plus I can't be in two places at once..!" I told her I was just curious and didn't mean to make her angry. I used to work at five below and never known a worker to forcefully check out a customer at the SELF check out. So we awkwardly sat there as she rang out our stuff. I have social anxiety so I only go shopping where I can use self check out so I don't have to interact with anybody so this definitely threw me and my niece off as we both were so confused why she had such...

Bright lit store, like other 5belows. The shopping experience was fine. Random things are a bit everywhere. Checkout process was where they pretty much fell short the whole way. I had 4 things. I just didn't like the "pushy" store bags purchase from the employees. It was 10¢ but just don't - push in my face - at my face. I get it - environmental measures. Also didn't like being pressured into using the self checkout next to the cashier rather than the one immediately available. If it was THAT important to use their close ones, then why not just turn them off. It's all the pushy pressured environment upon checkout that kinda turned me off on the shopping visit. Overall all 5 below stores have better eye catching stuff than dollar stores and shopping experience but it doesn't quite go the whole way thru nowadays for a happy experience.
