Lunds & Byerlys Maple Grove — Attraction in Maple Grove

My star rating is a variable, which dropped a star while adding THIS sentence/statement! Overall, L&B has some nice stuff, especially PRODUCE, tho generally overpriced! Hopefully, employees benefit greatly with much higher wages❣️❣️

Can't say I've ever checked reviews ...or left one regarding Lunds & Byerlys, but feel the need ...re #3!

Just a few days ago, I purchased some sweets @ L&B.

VERY SPECIAL, CRAVING CAUSING, ENCHANTINGLY DECORATED CUPCAKES (in display case)❣️❣️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I debated leaving a review on my favorite item in respect it may cause a shortage ...for ME(which could be good & bad!) 😏❣️ Ooooh la laaa❣️👍❣️ I've had: Salted Carmel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OMG, the frosting❣️❣️❣️ Oreo Cookie! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ I'd attach a pic, but ...they're GONNNE!!!

Shamrock sugar cookies ⭐️⭐️⭐️: Not bad, tho did not cause a craving, which is good & bad! 😏 They're a snap, crunchy cookie, which I like, tho fyi, they tend to break "across" the cookie! (For some odd reason, one of my faves is Walmart's frosted sugar cookies, tho they're not snap crunchy.)

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies (My husband's favorite!) ⭐️ : At my age, I've been around the block more than a few times! 🙀 I've made many cookies, including oatmeal raisin & GORP(kitchen sink) cookies! Yet, not once did I ever consider adding coconut (tho I LOVE coconut❣️) to oatmeal raisin cookies!!! Therefore, I didn't feel the need to read ingredients list for the Oatmeal Raisin cookies @ L&B!

Lesson learned! My bad?? Somewhat! Lunds & Byerlys bad?? YES!

(I should note that L&B are not the only ones that do this, but I DO HOPE they'll be the ones to make positive ingredient changes❣️🤞👍❣️)

These cookies, IMO, taste nowhere near what an oatmeal raisin cookie ...SHOULD TASTE LIKE!! Hmm, I'm thinking they should taste like oatmeal & pump raisins with spices❣️

Tho they're not Betty Crocker, I'm still disappointed in Lunds & Byerlys as I would think they, of all places, would know coconut should NOT be an ingredient in Oatmeal Raisin cookies OR the title should indicate coconut, as a main (or major!) ingredient!! Perhaps, Oatmeal, Raisin & Coconut Cookies ... so I would know NOT to buy them!!!

I went to this location today to finish up grocery shopping for Christmas weekend. I only had 5 items (REF#21334), and this short lady at the self check out lane was very rude in directing me to the customer service counter when NO ONE was at the self check out. Well the three employee's at the customer service counter ignored me (two were Managers). I was standing there with items in my hands- what did they think I wanted? Then the one Manager who was there (14:0023), behind the counter acted like I was the one in error! Like "what are you doing just standing there?!" look on his face, when the short lady (brown hair, glasses on head, has a limp) again rudely directed me to this Manager at the customer service counter. I proceeded to try to find another Manager to verbalize my experience with- she started to listen (she did a lot of the taste testing areas when they were open) but then saw someone in line that she knew and off she went. Dropped me like a hot potato. I go to this store frequently. Maybe not so much anymore. Yep, good way to be in the Holiday spirits folks at Byerly's Maple Grove! I know you are blessed to be so busy- but with this attitude you will be losing loyal customers. Truly sad and disappointing. AND the self check out remained clear and free the whole time I was going through this "customer service" check...

Unfortunately this Byerlys like its other stores is cutting corners and raising prices! Surprisingly so.

The Rotisserie chicken is not the same original recipe and is old chicken that has been overwhelmingly brined (way to salty) and often undercooked.

Meat that is on sale is either old or wrongly cut such as their steaks. And never buy their loin ribs on sale- old pork and second slab under top one is all fat.

Frozen shrimp on sale is a joke- as it's all covered in ice crystals which is your first clue that it's been thawed or partially thawed and re-frozen. This goes for their BYGO pizzas too.

Produce is hit and miss and overpriced. Fruit and lettuce is no different than Cub, or other stores.

Deli and hot deli buffet at lunch is not worth the price as nothing is really "homemade" or it has been improperly cooked or not served/stored at a proper and safe temperatures.

Sushi bar? Not unless you have penicillin in your pocket or time off from work..

Oh, the prices on floral and candy is way more than inflation- it's price gouging.

The only thing they have that's good in Byerlys today is the bakery items and the their ground beef that comes in the 1lb. prepackaged black sealed packages.

Please, Byerlys skip the sales and bring back the quality you were once known...
