I booked a last minute massage with this place. The owner scheduled me for a 6:00pm massage with Patty. I arrived early and was surprised by the location. It was tucked away on the second floor of doctors offices. Usually, there is a waiting room with a front desk but not here. Upon entering through the door there were 2 massage rooms. Patty the massage therapist introduced herself and said she was getting the room ready. She gave me the code for the restroom and I went out to use it. When I came back Patty said she was ready for me. The thing is she never gave me an intake form. She only asked me certain questions. I am in the medical field and usually you would ask if someone has any medical issues or allergies. That is the professional thing to do. Also, Patty had to fix the table even after I was on it for a few minutes. I thought that was not necessary since she did prep the room. Anyway, I did enjoy the massage, but at times she went too deep that I couldn't express my pain. It seemed like all she was doing was applying as much pressure as she wanted. I would have to say that she did not focus on the area I told her to focus on. She only spent a few minutes on it. Well, the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, after 3 days I developed a rash on my right upper back, neck, and right arm. I don't know what product was used, but I have never had that happen to me before. Also, my right upper back and right arm had muscle spasms. I had to go to my doctor to get an ointment to clear up my rash and a muscle relaxer to help with my muscle spasm. I am not 100%, but somewhat better. The owner and the massage therapist tried calling me after what happened. It seemed as though the owner wanted to give me another massage to make things better. Patty, offered to take me to a yoga class. I understand you want to resolve the situation, But what is done is done. You cannot change that. I will not be going back here. I hope anyone's experience is better than mine. The fact that the owner and the massage therapist had to make it right with gifting me a refund, a massage, and a yoga class seems like bribery to me. I think they just didn't want me to write a bad review. Not only is an intake form important for medical issues or allergies, but for emergency contacts. Did you ever stop and think what if my allergic reaction was worse than a rash? What if I couldn't breathe or have anaphylaxis? If it happened in your facility, then my family would not know how to contact me. Maybe you should think about that before saying that you would give me all these things to help rectify the situation. I didn't bring up my pain because I couldn't even express it to her because I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. On top of that, it was hard to breathe. I didn't accept any of your gifts because unlike you I know I paid for a service. It was my mistake to trust your company for the things you can't control. So please by all means keep the money. You are a business and sometimes things don't go well. I just so happened to be one of those clients. No, it is not true that massage therapists by law do not need an intake form or waiting room; while specific regulations may vary by location, most jurisdictions consider it standard practice for massage therapists to have clients fill out an intake form to gather necessary health information and obtain informed consent, and a waiting room is generally considered a professional necessity for client comfort and privacy. An intake form allows the therapist to collect crucial health details like medical conditions, allergies, medications, and areas of concern, which are essential for tailoring a safe and appropriate massage treatment. Thanks for letting me know I am allergic to Doterra Essential Oils. This is why I do not want to go back to your establishment. You never told me your therapists are CPR certified either.Where is your AED located then? I don't trust you, your staff or your products. Just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI want to thank both Coreena and Vinceanna for being able to accommodate my fiance and I for a couples massage in such short notice, I can't say enough about the exceptional service we received. The atmosphere was serene and welcoming, we even got a view of the sunset. The massage itself was calming with the right amount of pressure and all, I was going in and out of sleep from how good it felt.
One thing that truly stood out was Coreena and Vinceannaās dedication to customer care. After our appointment, my fiancĆ© thought she had lost her diamond ring, we were both worried as it was not an inexpensive ring. She had it with her during the massage because she forgot to put it aside so kept it under her thigh during the appointment (note if you have any jewelry make sure to take it off before the massage starts to prevent the same scare we had). We contacted Coreena asap and she quickly met us back at the studio spa, she went above and beyond, taking time out of her evening to help us search the studio. She lifted sheets, baskets, searched the trash, and helped us look all over the floor. My fiancĆ© in tears and stress, Coreena without any hesitation gave her a huge hug and told her everything will be okay and reassured her the ring would appear.
Vinceanna even though unable to turn back due to her distance, still was in contact with us and Coreena the entire time. Vinceanna also took the time to search each corner of her car and the sheets used for my fiancĆ©ās appointment in search of the ring.
After Vinceanna updated us on no luck in locating the ring, Coreena offered us to go back and thoroughly recheck the studio spa, we may have missed it because we were shaken about the situation.
We thanked her and had planned to go in the next day in the morning to recheck. As soon as we got back to our hotel, my fiancƩ was putting away her shorts and felt the ring in her small coin pocket. A RELIEF! She completely forgot after the massage she put the ring in there.
We want to thank Coreena and Vinceanna immensely, for not only accommodating us last minute and giving us one of the best massages we have had but also for not giving up on searching for the ring. Any other place would have forgotten about us or not give a care, but not Coreena and Vinceanna.
I highly recommend them for not only their exceptional massages but the genuine kindness of their hearts. It is because of that it never crossed our minds or they never gave us any doubt that they would withhold the ring. They just radiated sincerity and warmth the entire time we interacted, during and after the appointment. We will definitely make this a routine stop whenever we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMichelle did not preform the massage that I request for the full 90 minutes that I paid for for my husband and when I asked her about it she blatantly denied not doing her job correctly. I did not request any other massage but a lomi lomi for him. She took it upon herself to do whatever she wanted on him regardless of what I asked and paid for. I'm not sure what kind of business she runs but when a customer pays for a specific service, that is what they expect. Then, after I spoke to my husband when the massage was over, I find out that she didn't do what I paid for. She did what she wanted to do. He didn't want other types of massages or I would have asked for them when I ordered the massage. He wanted to experience the lomi lomi. Then Michelle had the nerve to try to argue with me after I called her out on it saying things like, my husband is stressed and has all these problems. What the heck?!!? Who does that? Still no apology. Like I said. She doesn't listen, she does her own thing, she does what she wants, even if it's not what you paid for. Beware!
Oh, and when I asked her for a refund or redo she out right refused saying that she did the lomi massage on him. It wasn't until 6 hours later with her still sending lies and excuses that I said I'll just post all of the screenshots of our text conversation so everyone can see for themselves what you're like to your customers that she yielded and said she'd pay for him to get a redo from the lovely lady that did my massage only if I don't post the screenshots of our text messages! Then, after that, she still sent me a text stating that she wasn't happy about it and that she was only paying for a 60 minute massage even though we paid her for a 90 minute massage!
I only posted this review because, after talking with 3 different massage therapist in Maui, I found out that she stole another companies business name because they didn't buy the domain name and had been using it for her company. Maui's Best Massage is a totally different business but that's what she was...
