RUN FAR AWAY!!!! I've NEVER delt with so many unprofessional people in my life. Everything that could go wrong went wrong, we were told our project would take 3 days with a 2-3 man crew. When making the final appointment for a set date I was told by Anthony, that it would only take 2 days and still sending a 2-3 man crew. Sounded great, took the day off work for our start date of 11/22/24, ONE guy shows. I think ok more must be coming, NOPE it was just him. he arrived a little after 10:00am he worked till about 11:30am then called me down to say he was going to grab lunch, didn't show back up till 2:20pm now with a hospital wristband on. At 3:33pm he tells me he is done for the day and that he needed to leave as he had a tooth infection. Off he went, my husband and myself call Refloor and all they could say to us was "Sorry, we didn't know his crew wasn't going to show" Really as a business this is the best you can come up with as an answer? NO one followed up as to why it was only him, I'm still trying to figure that out. They left nails and staples all over the floor, did not clean up before leaving. Fast forward to the following day 11/23/24, my husband stays home to keep an eye on the progress. Same guy shows up again all by himself, we again call Refloor and say you tell us 2-3 men crew and this is the second day he shows by himself. We get told " We don't know why his crew didn't show, but he will not leave today until the job is done". He finally finishes the job around10:00pm that night. Floor was "done". Next day after really inspecting the floors we notices gaps between the baseboards and floor, some flooring wasn't even tacked down and was moving. The transfer cases for room to room were not secured, white glue was left all over the floor. Glue that he stepped in and walked all around, just everywhere. JUST a NIGHTMARE. Call Anthony to express how upset and bad the work was, he sent out someone to come look they agreed the job was done bad. They set up to have a new crew come out and tear out all the floor and start over, We were thankful for that, the told us the crew would be here 12/10/24, I again take the day and NO ONE shows. Anthony explained is was his fault, he never set up for a crew to come, at this point I'm just completely over this entire thing. Next day guys come start working, Anthony and one of the higher Up come to my house to do a walk through, upon leaving both men are on my ring camera talking, and the one clearly said "who F*** all this up". They end up doing out Kitchen floor as well for no addition charge, now the project is done. They say ok we can take $500, off your total. Over 7k was the total, really it took a month to get my floors done by these people and all the headaches you offer me that. Finally they agreed on a different amount, we accepted. Check finally comes but NOT without a NASTY memo they wrote! Just PLEASE whatever you do RUN FAR AWAY from this company!!!! I've attached a few photos, wish I could upload all of them.

We choose ReFloor to install vinyl flooring in the second floor (four bedrooms and hallway) of our home and staircase, which was previously carpeted. They began the job on June 17th, 2024. After removing the carpet from the staircase, they told us that they would not be able finish the sides of the staircase even though it was included contractually in the price. At the end of the work week, the planks of the staircase were installed incorrectly, and upstairs floor was uneven in 3 out of 4 of the bedrooms. When we spoke management about these issues, they told us that they would send a different crew to fix the problems. The "fix-it" crew was scheduled to come a month later on July 13th (four week wait) and failed to show up. When I called to inquire about where the crew was, I was told that the crew could not come and their only next available time to come was August 5th (another month later). We were informed that a discount would be "on the table" because the stair sides would not be completed as contracted. After calling again July 28th, we were able to get an August 2nd installation date. On August 2nd, the crew was scheduled to come between 8am-11am. At 9:15am, I called to confirm their arrival, and was informed it would be between 12-2pm instead. Colleen, the office contact, called at 1:47pm to cancel and reschedule to August 10th. I refused and insisted on an earlier time, considering this is the second cancellation, and they agreed to come on August 7th. On August 7th, a contractor for the company, Nick, came to determine what need to be fixed. We were told that all of the work needed to redone because of the uneven flooring, and the staircase floor was ripped out (it was installed incorrectly by the first crew). On August 15th we were contacted to schedule an appointment with their general manager to verify the recommendation from Nick. On August 20th, Max, the general manager came and asserted only certain parts of the floor needed to be reinstalled (not the entire project). The repairs were approved and scheduled for September 16th. On 9/16, they redid the flooring in one bedroom, and partially in 2 bedrooms and the hallway. They left one bedroom as is. However, when they removed the vinyl planks, to redo the floor, they found debris they was not removed before the first installation. After finding the debris, we insisted that the entire first job be removed and redone, but they refused. After finishing the floors, we were told that the planks for the steps were not ordered, so as of today, our stairs are still unfinished, and we are waiting for the company to come and finish the job. The first picture is the incorrect installation of the stairs, the second is how our staircase looks today, and the last photo is the debris found under the first installation.

The floor was installed professionally by Josh and his team, the floor itself is beautiful, and I really like the customer service. Everyone I worked with, such as Holden, Dustin, and Sam, were extremely kind and great listeners. When I asked for our total to be recalculated when some demo wasn’t necessary, they were very prompt with giving us our new total. Josh was honest, knowledgable, polite, and he takes his work seriously. Both he and his coworker were very kind and understanding of my special needs son. The salesman was right that they have fantastic customer service. When I booked the appointment, I wish they would’ve been straightforward about being in my home for 2 to 3 hours. I did not like the company sales pitch technique. The salesman was very encouraging and positive that his company would be able to handle an old house like mine as they frequently work on old houses, but the contractor was straightforward that our stairs could not be done the way the salesman said they would be. So my main floor is done, but now I have stairs that are half done, and now I have to do a home project to finish updating them. I really wanted my stairs to be completely finished by a company, but Refloor’s material was not cooperative. I was very clear that my house was old and wonky, and I wish that they would’ve sent a contractor out to actually analyze the stairs. They would’ve caught that the current state of the stairs would prevent full reflooring and the metal edging would be gapping and discolored from making it fit and filing it down. I would’ve probably looked into a different company or an independent contractor so my stairs would be done completely. I recognize that my stairs are ultimately the issue, but I’m disappointed that refloor didnt recognize it until it was too late. I would use refloor again, but since my house is old and wonky, I would insist that everything be measured by the installer before work was done in order to try to catch any measuring/structural related problems.

Updating to reflect company response. Reviews are limited in length, so this is truncated version.

Gist of it: Excellent website, good sales pitch, absolute deficient work by two crews, local management difficult and defensive, what I believe to be corporate or regional management stepped in, third crew redid the job, pretty good now.

Sales pitch: In home, pressured, discounts only if you buy today. I don't mind this kind of pitch, and we already decided to use this company, but just be aware that they push to buy today. We ordered LVP with floor leveling after making structural repairs, so some low spots in the floor needed to be corrected.

First Crew: No leveling performed. They glued the planks down, which should not be done, in an effort to cover up poor workmanship. We stopped them after one room as it was obvious we were not getting what we intended. This may have been their first job ever. It was that bad.

Local Management: Comes out to evaluate. Decides I need to pay additional $1,000 for leveling even though I specifically asked for it from beginning. Very defensive about the work, even claiming it meets their standards. I contemplated pulling the plug and eating the loss at this point, but ended up paying the $1,000 and letting them bring out the "good" crew.

Second Crew: Some leveling performed, but only with thick paste in some spots. Floor is fully installed before I can stop them. They call 3/16" variation in floor height acceptable, and refused to pour liquid like we agreed. For reference, that's a stack of 15 standard playing cards. Set that out, stand on it, and tell me that's ok. This crew also installed different color transition strips on two sides of same room, with same carpet on both sides, apparently because they ran out of material and didn't want to come back. These crews are a real problem.

Local Management: Defensive and claims work is acceptable. Receptionist calls me a d*ckwad when she thought she put me on hold. Just general bad culture. They offer to refund $350 of the $1,000 extra because they refused to do what I paid for.

Corporate?: Offers to refund the $1,000 for work not performed. Sends yet another person out to eval. They agree it needs to be completely redone.

Third Crew: We're now about 7 weeks into this with our house torn up for only a couple rooms of LVP that I could have done myself on weekends by now. They pour the liquid leveling, install the floor, and use matching trim, as was expected at the time of purchase. Floor is a 4-5 star, depending on how picky you are, but some of the complaints are from the prior crews, such as existing trim that was cut too high and now has a large gap to be filled. Finished product is good now.

Summary: Probably the worst customer experience I've had, given the repeat deficient installers and defensive management. I'm pretty understanding and laid back, but they just didn't want to do the job. If I had not pushed to have it done correctly, they would have been happy to talk me into accepting the poor work. The last crew was great, but not everyone is going to get that crew, obviously. I will not be using this company again, regardless of whether the final result was acceptable, because of the difficulty involved in getting...

Edit for response to Owner: Not sure why the time I left the review had anything to do with anything but ok. (btw. I was on break from work since it meant that much for you to mention the time) But in response to other comments: Notice you didnt address the "gimmicky" "buy right now for lower price" sales tactic. And actually The price I mentioned per sq ft was indeed the price for material. Which is the breakdown I actually asked your rep for so I was comparing Apples/Apples sort to speak. And even with their material /labor & other items, The est we got was still abt $9sq ft So I just wanted to know why the big difference. Also regarding my comment on the reviews, friends/family have to pay for services as they should & still leave a great review...But I Hope my edit helps in your understanding! Have A Blessed Day!

3-17-25 BEWARE!! EXTREMELY OVERPRICED & GIMMICKY SALES PITCHES! I am THROUGHLY convinced the "good" reviews are from people that are friends or related to someone at the company! Heres my experience: I DID my research & looked for the flooring I wanted BEFORE hand (compared flooring styles, got other estimates etc) & I also read all the reviews for Refloor Maumee before even asking for them to come out & give me an estimate. Seeing they did have only a few bad ones decided to go ahead with the estimate. Rep came out & at first tried to show me this cheap, dull looking "wood" look flooring samples inside what looked to be a tool box. I looked thru abt 3 samples when I told the rep, This is not at ALL what I want. And showed him a picture of flooring I wanted & he said "Be right back. Let me go get the good stuff". He went to his car & came back with much better "Luxury" Vinyl flooring in "marble look" which was pretty & what I wanted. Rep begins to do measurements & then showed me what my rooms would look like with the selected flooring. BEAUTIFUL i must say but thats when the "lies" started.

Rep originally gave me prices for 3 floors for the white/gray "marble look" LVP flooring. Almost 9k! and the areas are not that big at all!! 424 sq ft total. Told him thats WAAY too much! And they were just going to "go over" the existing flooring which we had. I said "Absolutely NOT"-! So then came the, Today only "discounts". I let him talk & then showed him the EXACT same flooring on Menards website that was only $2.24sq ft when theirs was over $14 sq ft! Asked him to justify the extreme mark up & he stumbled of course his words & then proceeded to "call his manager" for better discounts/pricing! And eventually came back around $6200 for the 3 areas.... Heres the kicker... Started to say OK lets do it when I realized he changed the pricing from 3 areas to only 2 to get that price! And wasnt going to say anything!

I am a contract reviewer in my field so I read & review EVERYTHING BEFORE signing! Needless to say, he left after that. Refloor Left such a disgusting bad taste in my mouth I will NEVER recommend them! Deceptive with just estimate I can only imagine what the work would of been like! TRY TO GET OVER ON SOMEBODY ELSE...
