Stayed here for 2 nights. The place is laid out weird. The elevators are at back by the pool and not near the front desk or reception area. Front desk staff didn't greet us or acknowledge our hilton members status. Not a big deal. But also not welcoming/nor friendly. Need improvement on customer service skills. Rooms are small. No closets, other than 2 make shift nooks by the windows. Which were useless. The A/C unit is loud and noisy. We had a hard time trying to sleep so we turned the AC lower so it wouldn't turn on as much which made the room temperature uncomfortable. AC was also a bit musty. The bathroom door is a barn door. It doesn't close properly/fully. Also the bed is next to the bathroom barn door. So if someone has to sleep right next to the bathroom, things can get smelly. Mini fridge was wobbly. I tried to adjust the leg but couldn't. The room and bathroom were generally clean. The bathroom floating shelves were flimsy and had screws behind them to prop them up. The bathtub tub spout was separating from the wall. I was excited for breakfast after reading some positive reviews. But I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. At least during our stay the breakfast was honestly the worst we've ever had at a Hampton Inn. And we're not overly picky either. The lady at the back of the house, who was managing the breakfast area was nice but I observed her grabbing a piece of breakfast sausage from the back up tray in the back room, with her bare hands and eating it. In full view of customers. Not appropriate. But I didn't say anything. Breakfast was sub par. The juice area has tiny Styrofoam cups that don't hold much liquid. I've never seen these type of cups used at other Hampton Inns before. Wasteful. Breakfast selection was poor and low quality. The pool area was a surprisingly larger size than other Hampton Inns. There was another outdoor pool but it was closed. The area is in a good location with several restaurants within walking distance and also grocery stores Meijer and Kroger. Lots of kids staying here when we stayed. We also have kids. I tried to pick a room away from any noise but i still encountered kids who were running up and down the hallway, screaming, slamming doors and running up and down the stairwell until around 11:30pm. Where are the parents?? I was close to calling reception to complain. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

I travel to Toledo 1 or 2 nights each week for work so I stay in a lot of hotels in the area. Probably won't go back to this one. Very average hotel with no major complaints. Wouldn't be afraid to stay with my family. 1) Outside looks pretty nice. Well maintained and nice landscaping. Located in a nice neighborhood with plenty of restaurants nearby. Do yourself a favor and try a local pub or eatery. This is a beautiful town. 2) Hotel room is very small with a strange layout, but it was extremely clean. Bed was great. Fresh mattress with no body grooves. Pillows were a bit of a letdown. Not typical hotel quality. 3) Indoor pool area was beautiful, but... Lol. Pool was freezing cold. Too cold for most adults I would say. I got ankle deep and said no thanks. Hot tub needs refinished due to paint peeling. It was not "hot" at all. Slightly warmer than other heated pools I've been in. Huge, huge let down. Outdoor pool is tarped and appears to have been closed for a long time. Possibly pre-2024. 4) Staff was friendly and entrance was nice. I travel to Toledo 1 or 2 nights each week for work so I stay in a lot of hotels in the area. This one was a bit dated, but clean. Pool area was the biggest let down. That is what I went for. Nice hot day and outdoor pool followed by relaxing in hot tub. Neither of them happened. Because of the poor amenities I would say this hotel is very overpriced. Outside pool is closed. Tarp covering and looks to have been that way for a some time.

We are on a trip. Booked the room on the phone. That went fine. Checked in past 130 am. I asked for a late check out. They told me it will be 1pm. I said great. Well. The first knowing on our door was at 930 am. Then again 1130 am while I am on a conference call. We also received a front desk call at 1115 am. Asking when I am checking out. I told them they are very rude. I am a late check out at 1pm. I did not like being woke up then interrupted while conducting business. The front desk person at check in failed to verify the room as a late check out. I got very little sleep. Sleeped on one side of bed as the sheets had some nasty stains. Used towels to sleep on. Place looked good outside. Did not have good impression with police showing up while arriving. Front desk was not distracted by that activity. Have no plans to ever return. Worst experience form a Hampton Inn property.

I had a bad experience at Hampton. My room was smelling like a rotten dungeon; is not ventilated well. I complaint twice about it to the staff and no one addressed the issue. Also, I forgot a very important binder with documents inside (passport, SSN card ) which obviously my fault not the hotel. I realized that I forget it the next day when I am back home. I kept trying to call the hotel for 2 days and their number was unavailable. I drove for 5 hours back to the hotel and person on the front desk was extremely useless. She told me that their number is broken. She told me initially that she contacted the manager and no items were found. When I asked her to give me the manager contact info she refused. I left hopeless and drove back when the manager call me back when I was almost arriving home that he has the binder file. First of all when a professional hotel personnel find personal items for customers why don’t they call them (obviously my full name on the passport and other documents, plus they know I was in this specific room) ? Second the person at the reception lied about calling Mr.president asking him about my belonging despite knowing that I am driving far away to check on my lost item and they don’t even have a phone to contact and she let me drive back for 4 hours when she can easily call her manager to ask him if they do have lost items. I drove back again, paid tolls multiple times plus $50 extra for the additional miles. What a non convenient unprofessional management. Again it’s my fault forgetting an important documents but ….. For other people experiencing a basement-like room environment please share...

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel last night for an event at the local theater. We decided to cancel another hotel reservation to go to this Hampton because Hamptons are known to be nice, this one was just okay. The location was great for the theatre and some restaurants but 1.Our room smelled like cigarettes right when we walked in even though this is a non smoking room. You guys need new pillows because you are pretty much sleeping on no pillow because of how flat they are. The bathroom door was filthy Breakfast was OK. Nothing like the other Hamptons we have stayed at. The potatoes were great though. We did not feel welcomed by front desk. They were not personable.

The final thing that made me decide to write this review was I left my WALLET in the room with all my info and my credit cards in it. This was our fault but how they are handling this is not right. I realized 2 hours into our drive back home that I forgot my wallet. I called the hotel and told them my room number. The lady at the front desk only said "they haven't cleaned the room yet. We will call you in an hour" . First off, you know my room number and I said I forgot it. Why not just go check real quick? I waited at the toll plaza for 30 minutes. I called back and asked if they will send it back if they found it. She said yes. We continued our 4 hour drive. I received no call back. I called again a few hours later and someone else said they haven't gotten anything turned in and they took my name and number down. They still know my room number and I was the last one in the room why not check before the next guest comes and my identity...
