40 minute ordeal for a cup of coffee and still came out with nothing! Very Diappointing "service"...if you can call it that.
I walked in around 4:30pm for an afternoon coffee for my commute and all the staff (4 young employees) behind the counter completely ignored me...not a hello or be with you in a minute or even a look in my direction. All of them looked very agitated and all seemed to be slowly working on online food order. After a few minutes of this I asked one of the staff if I could just meet them down at the register to purchase a coffee quick (no food was desired) and I'd be out of there. I received a loud sigh and eye roll but was able to purchase my coffee. I wanted a small or a medium but she stated there were only large cups and the others were out of stock so take it or leave it.
The coffee is self serve so I tried 1st dispenser...empty....2nd dispenser....empty....OK, come on 3rd 🤞...empty...and last and final 4th (you guessed it) empty!
So went back to counter, waited, waited, waited, asked for some help, received similar sigh from different employee (they must teach this at their employee training). I informed her all 4 dispensers are empty and asked if there a full one behind counter (I could see 3-4 dispensers back there). She responded "nope, if they're empty we are out" and went back to what she was doing. I got another person's attention and ask if I could get the coffee I purchased?..."nope, we're out"...I asked can you make some..."nope, machines are already cleaned and don't want to dirty them"....I asked are you serious..."yes".
I couldn't believe it! I am at a coffee shop and being refused coffee after i purchased it. So I asked if I could at least trouble them for my refund of this (large) coffee they sold me but are refusing to make. Got a hugh sigh on that request....then waited, and waited and waited some more, she couldn't process the refund, she called someone for phone support....finally got my $2.19 refund. 40 minute ordeal for a cup of coffee and still came out...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting, the countertop was about as filthy as I've ever seen one. Cross contamination. But that's what you get when you have a bunch of kids running a place with no adult supervision. Ordered two salt bagels with cream cheese. Pretty simple order you would think. Watched as the kid made the order look like everything was fine. Get home and take a bite of my bagel and it tastes like something other than what I ordered. Like a pickle mixture with something. Smells like a mix of tomato and pickle juice or something, but it's saturated into the bagel. I did ask for toasted. I'm not sure this was toasted. Normally. It's very crispy and I did after being disgruntled at whatever juice. This was laid in on the counter. Scraped back the thin layer of cream cheese and it does not look like this was toasted. I thought that the first bite was very tough and chewy for being toasted. I would be willing to bet instead of wiping down the countertop before he sat my bagel down to put cream cheese on it. He laid my bagel in the mess that was on the counter. I thought that's what it looked like when he was making it as I was paying. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Wow! Do better. Barry bagels do better. Very disappointed. Will not be back to this restaurant ever again unless this gets fixed. Used to be one of my favorite spots. Honestly maybe a call to the health dept would help in this case before someone gets sick from the lack of cleanliness. Oh and it's not that busy inside and they had about 6 to 8 employees...
Read moreBagel Sandwich was good. The problem I had was cleanliness of counter where sandwiches are made. It's not cleaned between orders. There were many onions and other sandwich debris laying where the new sandwich was made. Employee was so soft spoken I could hardly hear him even after I said I can't hear you. I asked to add avocado, which he had no clue about! Just said he was new and didn't bother to ask the other employee next to him, who also seemed confused with the order he was working on. So I just said forget it. My first thought was, are you guys stoned? I mentioned to the employee that since he's new, a word of advice, clean off the counter between sandwiches as I am very allergic to onions and hoped the ones he made My sandwich on top of didn't soak into my bagel! The cut was not even on the sandwich, so the one 1/2 had a sliver of bagel and the other almost the full side. Cashier mentioned it was the sandwich maker's 1st day when I Said he seemed lost. So Maybe your management should be there to train people on their position rather than just putting someone that is clueless to do the job! It's been 10 years since I visited a BB. Since I was near there decided to stop, but quality and service has...
