Went and invited family and friends to eat with us for an improv celebration to welcome my grand baby to the world. The wait staff was wonderful but the manager was very rude We waited an hour to be seated and informed our waitress of more guests coming. He insisted on nagging us about our guests who came and all ordered food and drinks. He rudely followed in behind each one stating they had to be put on a waiting list and wait outside yet we already had empty seats for them. He made us separate to where some of our “guests” were seated on the other side of the restaurant or at the bar. There was an empty booth directly across from our table to which our waitress allowed our guests to sit but the manager made them get up and move. We asked if we could sit at the long tables to the left of us which would have somewhat put us closer together but the manager stated, “they’re reserved “ yet we were told on several occasions that “no reservations could be made” and no one came to sit at these “reserved” tables the entire time we were there and we were there for 3 hours with the majority of the restaurant being cleared as other patrons left and no other patrons were waiting. We were also rudely told by the manager, “if you don’t like it you can leave” and we were never hostile or rude to this man, only confused as to why we were the only ones being treated this way as we watched some parties larger than ours come in and be seated together We did however realized that we were the only patrons of color in the restaurant. Read moreGreat place to eat, they have a variety of good options for if you or someone in your party doesn't particularly enjoy steak, like myself. All of their chicken options are delicious and always juicy and full of flavor. Their appetizers are also all very good. Friendly staff, wait time usually isn't over 20 minutes, and they give you the option to wait in your car until they have a table ready to you so you don't have to sit shoulder to shoulder with people in the lobby. All of the servers we have had have always been super friendly and you can tell they work hard. They're all deserving of a hefty tip. Even on busy days, they get your food to you in a timely and efficient manner. Drink selection for alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks is plentiful, which is always a nice bonus. The only thing that knocked a star was that my boyfriend, an avid steak eater, always says that they slightly overcook to his standards, but the meat is still plenty enjoyable. He says to knock down what you usually order. So, you order medium, for example, knock it down to the lower level of rarity that you like to increase your chances of getting exactly what you want. It really depends on whose cooking, though. A favorite go to resturant,...
Read moreRead moreI have previously reviewed Longhorn positively about a year ago for dine in pre-COVID. My updated rating reflects the takeout experience we just had on 8/15/2020== The Outlaw Ribeye I ordered medium rare was well done, almost dry, when I got home. However, the New York strip was ordered medium and it was great, cooked as expected; so, it clearly wasn't an issue with the order being takeout. The kids burger was cooked so long it was inedible and lacked requested condiment and pickles. The salad was marked with the correct dressing but we received the incorrect dressing and didn't notice until we were home. Our apps and dessert were fine, but there was a definite lack of attention in the kitchen and when bagging the order. We requested plasticware and ketchup, but had to ask for it after checking the order noting it was missing. I regret having tipped expecting good service, which only amounts to putting our order together accurately, when we actually received subpar service. Overall a horrible experience that makes it unlikely we'll return for takeout here ever. We know the food can be good, but lack of attention to detail means your mileage may vary. I'd rather spend my...
