This will be a hard review to write. Although the property and the staff are very nice and we're very accommodating, at 1:00 on a very rainy morning the second night into my stay I was awakened by the front desk people telling me I had to get up and move my car. Because I take something to help me sleep I was very disoriented and confused by the request. They told me I had to move because to large pickups with gooseneck trailers came in and they needed more room to park. They told me one of the other guests had been too stubborn to move in his car was struck and the police were called to assess the damage. Well that got me up out of bed. I found myself in the very unenviable position of being a 71 year old woman in my pajamas in the middle of the night in the pouring rain surrounded by 5 strange men, trying to move my large vehicle, a Transit van mid roof, in a very crowded parking lot. Needless to say once back in my room I could not fall back to sleep. I was traveling with my dogs and they too were Disturbed and agitated by my leaving the room and then coming back and being restless. When I talked to the front desk the next morning all they would do is apologize to me and tell me that it had to be done to accommodate these two trucks. I think they're priorities need to be re-evaluated. In my opinion, they need to be more concerned about guests who are staying multiple nights and who have already settled for the night rather than people who pull off the highway in vehicles that they cannot accommodate safely in their lot. I was attending an event that is held annually. up until this point I was very satisfied with my stay and thought I had found a place for me and my dogs or I could feel safe and comfortable. Unfortunately I will not be back. There are other options for hotels in that area, I will avail myself to...
Read moreThis hotel is a prime example of, you get what you pay for. Check-in was smooth, though the entrance smelled horribly of animal urine. The room was dingy. The shower made a really loud, really high-pitched sound the entire time it was running (think FWEEEEEEE!!). We realized at 12:30am that our a/c was not functioning, it said the room was 77 degrees! We discovered this because an employee called our room and asked us to move our car. My husband went down to the parking lot where he discovered that we needed to move our car because someone had run into it in the parking lot and their trailer was still attached to our bumper. Management and the employees seemed very confused. We had heard yelling outside our window for at least half an hour before anyway bothered to call us. The situation escalated to the point where I called the police because I was very uncomfortable. Everyone from the hotel was telling us not to call them. After filing a report and getting everyone calmed down, we went back inside. We were visibly agitated still. The hotel moved us to a room across the hall with a working a/c, but no working TV. It's not their fault our car was hit. But it is their fault that the rooms are dingy, the shower, a/c, the tv didn't function, and the parking lot is poorly lit. It is also their fault that they didn't explain themselves on the phone or handle the situation properly. All in all, I would not recommend this...
Read moreEven with lower rated/priced motels there needs to be better standards. The room wasn't cleaned properly and TV screen had just been wiped with a wet rag leaving it streaked (we didn't complain) and the door is hard to open & close. The TV & clock weren't working and room service promptly took care of both. The room heater was way too hot at 70 degrees and we eventually found 62 heated normally so we didn't complain.
I thought the orange juice was spoiled or "working". He said others have been having breakfast ok & did nothing. Then another guy tried the apple juice & said it was awful. The person at the desk then discovered the water tap wasn't working. I then realized that the juices were concentrates but not getting any water added. They got it working briefly before it quit again & was then labeled out-of-service & maintenance was called. I wasn't surprised that there were no hard-boiled eggs like usual but there also weren't sausage muffins. There was a coffee machine with light, medium, dark choices. The medium decaf came out very...
