Mountain Monet — Attraction in McCall

Unorganized and expensive!

My son was supposed to visit Mountain Monet with his class but wasn’t able to because he was sick. While the class was there his teacher set aside a mug for him with his name on it to decorate at a later time when I was able to drive him up there (we live an hour away). The day before we drove up there I called to make sure they were going to be open on Saturday. The employee I spoke to was very rude and had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about my son’s mug. He told me to call back tomorrow when the manager was in. Instead of calling we drove up there. When we arrived I asked for the manager and was told she wasn’t coming in that day either. I then told the employee that was working that we were there for my son to paint his mug and to request that it be shipped after it was put in the kiln once more. It took her 20 mins to search with no luck, while also calling her manager to figure out what had happened. She informed us that his mug had been broken and instead of a mug now he had a dinosaur. My daughter was also with me and asked if she could paint one too. She picked out a fox piggy bank for $20.63. Both kids were given instructions on what to do and did so all while the employee was running in circles setting up small heaters in every corner because of how cold it was inside. After they were finished the employee had me fill out a card with our address for shipping and then rang me up. She initially told me it was going to be $7.00 for shipping, but then when I was presented with the bill the shipping was $17.00 plus $20.63 for the fox and an extra fee of $7.00 plus tax. I paid and we left. After waiting for 2.5 weeks with no news or package I had to call 3 days in a row to get a tracking number and that was after I had to email her pictures of both items because they didn’t know which order was mine. When we finally received them, the shipping total only came out to $8.85. Although my kids are very happy with their creations, the entire ordeal was a complete mess. My friend and I went here to make Mother’s Day gifts a few weeks ago. We walked in and the lady didn’t greet us and didn’t interact with us at all, she just sat at the desk staring at her phone. We had picked out some cups that we wanted to paint and she came over and very rudely asked us if we were local and then told us how much it was going to be. We sat down to paint and got partially done and had to leave. Every time we have tried to go back it has been closed up to 4 hours before closing time even. It is now mother’s day and we still have not had the chance to finish them because of unreliable hours. Not to mention we have a 20 minute drive to get here and it’s closed with no reason. My hubby and kids went into this shop and we were all very excited about this place because I knew we were going to be doing some shopping and spending a lot of money since we did have all our 6 children with us. I was very upset my the young lady at the front desk was rude to my Birthday girl an md myself. We traveled all the way from Boise to make her day special and little did we know that this young lady that worked at the front desk was going to ruined her entire weekend and not only did she ruined her day but the Henna Tattoo my husband and I got with her didn’t last 2 hours the henna was gone and had nothing on the next day.
