I understand that companies have to make money to keep the establishment going but overcharging people is not the way to do it. The events are already sky high to attend and the food is 10 times as high! I want customers to beware of the system taking place there now. They have gone completely cashless to purchase anything in the FedEx Forum. I feel this is to overcharge people because we don't check our card often enough. I realized 3 weeks after I went to an event that I had been overcharged by $12. I am asking that you all please stop supporting venues that are overcharging us to enjoy our time out. The food at the Forum is RIDICULOUSLY high. I had the chicken strip basket (I ordered more than one item) and the food they give you is definitely not worth the price. The chicken strips were like little balls of chicken nuggets or boneless wings, and they only gave me a few waffle fries. I was so upset. They did give me one more chicken strip when I asked but you definitely DO NOT get what you pay for. I highly suggest all consumers to eat prior to arriving at the Forum. If we stop giving away money, stop spending money carelessly at these venues, they will make the prices more affordable because we aren't spending like that. What about families with multiple children/members in their group? But as long as they see we don't care and we are going to spend the money, they are going to continue to increase the prices. You can get a full meal in a restaurant and save money compared to what we are spending in this venue and others. I have been trying to get in contact with someone in LEVY services (the company that runs the restaurants there) for almost a month since I found out I was overcharged and cannot get in contact with anyone. Take heed to this review...
Read moreThe lack of signage for one of Memphis' largest venues is insane. The parking garage is $30 and there is zero signage stating how to get there. Only one of the two elevators was working. Google Maps takes you to the front of the Forum (not the parking garage), and half the roads around downtown are one way and packed and just a nightmare to navigate for tourists or people who don't frequent downtown often. So we had to circle around a few blocks just to get back in line to enter the parking garage.
Security went relatively fast, but the tickets do not mention the rule that you can only have clear bags no bigger than a handbag, so you're screwed if you don't notice the signs in time and have to get back in line once you dump stuff in your car.
My husband and I went here for the Adam Sandler concert on 11/16/23 and there were no concessions open except beer and popcorn/nachos stand where the lines took 20 minutes. Way too many people were over served. We paid almost $300 for center floor seats and it was super cramped - box seats and nosebleeds had more space than we did. It was SO hot in the back rows of the floor seats near the sound/light booth that a lady passed out in the middle of the show and had to call for a medic! Adam was super sweet about it and ended up giving her a hug as the paramedics rolled her out of the stadium.
The staff themselves were pretty friendly and helpful, except the people who roam to make sure nobody is filming/taking photos with their phones. They were super rude to one lady on her first offense when a simple "hey, no photography please" would've sufficed.
Just overall not a great experience and we will definitely not be attending any events there...
Read moreI had the awesome experience of seeing the Backstreet Boys on August 27, 2019. I had to pay $15 to park at the church right across the street from the Forum which is a very short walking distance. Once inside, the employees check your belongings with metal detectors. It's a very quick process. I always go to Rendezvous to get the chicken BBQ nachos. It's kinda expensive since it's located inside of a stadium ($17)! But it's delicious, so I don't mind. All I had to do from there was to locate my seats. The friendly employees are always willing to assist. The temperature is comfortable inside the stadium and so are the seats. My only complaint would be more leg room would be nice in the upper levels, but I do understand that is not feasible. My brother and I had really good seats, though. It was the best concert I've been to in quite a while!😊
Update: I just recently went with my lil' bro' to another BSB concert this past Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 at the Forum and it was awesome like the last time. Of course, due to inflation, prices were even higher for parking. (I paid $20 at that church on the corner.... It is what it is.🤷🏿♀️) I ate at some place that sold burgers and waffle fries and my total was $20 and some change. But it was delicious... I'll give them that. The attendants were very helpful and the stadium - very well kept. My brother and I really enjoyed ourselves. I'm looking forward to more concerts and shows at the FedEx Forum in the...
