The owner of this place is amazing! She is so funny and makes the visit to the candy store a real experience. She also makes the BEST fudge. My dad and I took some back from our trip for my mom to try, and she could not believe how delicious it was. Our family has a very old peanut butter fudge recipe that we always thought was the best...until now. Surprisingly, my favorite fudge was actually the blue suede shoes fudge (pictured here—This blurry pic does not do the fudge justice, but it wouldn't let me post the video I took of the fudge sparkling.). I say surprisingly, because it tastes like banana laffy taffy–which doesn't sound like something I'd enjoy, but it is absolutely amazing. My mom (who does not even like banana laffy taffy) agreed that it was her favorite of all the flavors we got! Hands down...

I had seen the website when looking at things on Beale and had spent 9 hours driving that day thinking about fudge. Beatrice (a/k/a Crazy Fudge Lady) welcomed us in despite it being closing time. She let us look around, gave us a sample of fudge, we made each other laugh, and then she recommended a place for us to have dinner. It was the favorite part of our Memphis visit. Oh, and the fudge was fantastic and not "tourist over-priced"....

Right now, Beale Street is suffering from the Covid restrictions, and this is one of those small businesses that adds value to the area, and needs your support to continue doing what they're doing.
