Handy Park — Attraction in Memphis

I'm going to review this place extremely badly me and my wife walked into an empty bar for bike night and sat down at the bar and a large black man approached me and asked me what I was doing there and I was trying to order a drink I told him to leave me alone and he got in my face saying that he would f** up apparently the guy was the bouncer there at Club handy and was extremely rude to us and for no reason wanted to fight me the bar was empty and we were clearly there to drink when I tried to hand him my ID he flipped out and acted like I was trying to attack him and stared me down the whole time I was there saying he didn't like me I'm just saying it was very uncomfortable and I don't...

So not impressed with the New Handy Park. The place of so many great, small venue open-air concerts! The layout sux... no tables, chairs, benches... and gone are the stadium chairs for stage performances & the legendary arches. Other than the statue honoring WC Handy 🎶; this looks like a waste of good concrete... oh, and I won't fail to mention the elevated patch of grass now overlooking the stage... perfect for pet-pooping - can't help but think MMRP had their hands in this...

This place is on Beale Street. I love the fact that no matter what day or what time I passed there, there was always some kind of music. Always some kind of performance.
