AutoZone Park is a great family friendly small stadium whether you're there to see a AAA Memphis Redbirds baseball game or USL Memphis 901FC soccer match. Plenty of the usual stadium food options - hotdogs, hamburgers, pizza, steak sandwiches, ice cream, pretzels, popcorn and burritos (if the burrito shack in the outfield behind the jumbo video screen is open) - with a Memphis twist: Rendezvous BBQ Nachos!
The adult beverage selection is above average. Not only are the usual domestic beers available and a couple of flavors of White Claw hard seltzer, but many of the best local craft brews are on tap and in cans. There is even a bar for simple mixed drinks and red and white wine.
The rest rooms are reasonably clean with more than enough stalls in the women's rooms to handle a capacity crowd. Plus there is a baby changing table in the ladies rooms. If you have energetic little ones to entertain, you can get "seats" in the open grass areas of the corners where you can lay a blanket and watch the kiddos run themselves out. There are picnic tables to eat at just above the outfield too.
If you're looking to buy tickets to see a 901FC match, and you're sensitive to colored smoke bombs and loud raucous drumming and baudy singing, you may want to stay well away from any sections along the 3rd base line (even numbered sections). The Memphis Mafia cheering squad with their waving flags and huge drum corps are in constant comotion. Every time Memphis scores a goal the Mafia set off several smoke bombs in the team colors. They are much more fun to experience from the other side of the stadium (odd...
Read moreVery family oriented! The kids loved it! We went on 4th of July and they did an awesome fireworks show! Facility and field looked well-maintained. Restroom was about as clean as you would expect a professional baseball stadium restroom to be. Food was good and lines were not long. The first minor issue was that no cash was accepted, only cards, so I couldn't give my kids $20 cash to go to the concessions on their own, like I normally could. (Hot dog $5, Drink $7... losing my Mastercard, priceless). Another issue was parking. It was very limited....most people park in the Peabody hotel parking garage, which is very convenient, in terms of location (about a 2 minute walk to stadium entrance). However, to exit the garage, you must insert the reciept that was given to you when you paid at the garage entrance. The machine did not initially explain those details and our reciept was thrown away, so we had to pay not only a second parking fee, but this time it was DOUBLE. ($13 initially, $26 exit = $39 to park!!!). On top of that...every car must have had the same issues, because it took us almost AN HOUR AND A HALF to get out of the parking garage and we only parked on the 3rd level. That really sucked. Overall, we had a nice time and will definitely continue to support...
Read moreInformation you need to know. 235 Union Ave, AutoZone Park is the parking lot on the left if you are going toward the AutoZone Park, but anyway the side entrance with the steps, can't have no bags or a purse. However if you do have belongings, you will need to go to the front entrance to get checked. You must have a clear backpack to enter the park. Sadly, no handicap parking, if it is you should get there early, I didn't see any. Entrance is on ground level when entering the AutoZone Park, except for the side entrance. I called ahead of time and this is the information I was told about the parking on the corner lot. All people with handicap license plate or tags must pay for parking. The map that is on the internet is confusing and needs to be redone. But anyway I hope my photos will help you for future visits. No cash is accepted at the park, only credit cards. BBQ Nachos pork or chicken is $15, nacho and cheese $6, and they sell funnel cakes, hotdog, and etc. You can park on the street between 2nd and Union. Warning ⚠️ it's a lot of walking for anyone that is walking with a cane or elderly person. Overall the people are friendly, helpful, and they will direct you in the right direction. Friday,...
