Mesquite Public Library — Attraction in Mesquite

I don’t feel the library is living up to the same level as it once was. The tenants for the most part at the counter on the floor are nice but whoever is placed at the counter seems to be quite rude. I checked out several books this last time several years ago and returned the items checked out (keep in mind this was during the beginning of Covid). I was told there were still items on my card, of which were not checked out to me but somehow had ended up on my card and thus billed to me. I was told by Luis that “it was my responsibility to make sure I keep up with the books I checked out and return them in good condition- and they were returned damaged”. I have never returned a damaged item… I was told that a sum of $200+ would be billed to me for items I’ve never seen. This will be the last time that I use their services. Such a waste— very...

Went here to get a couple of papers printed this morning.. just to be HARASSED over the volume of my phone, which was allowing my 2 younger children to be still and quiet... I could understand if someone complained but there was only 1 other women on the computers and she never moved since walking in, and even said they werent bothering her.. I lowered my volume but the Staff clearly has nothing better to do than to harass a single mother, with 2 children that were seated and being good!!! No concern for for anyone whatsoever... we were only there a total of 15 minutes and won't be back again. Great library 3 out of 4 women there are very helpful. The 4th was very rude I understand we have to wear the masks thats not a problem, mine had slipped below my nose which I didnt notice till she interupted my reading talking bout "pull it up or you have to leave" pretty aggressively. Like I said great library but the 4th woman is a mask freak if you dont know who im talking about just pull up and put your mask below your nose she'll come right to you.
