I really hate writing bad reviews , especially for a brand new Mesquite Texas business. Also specially for one that look so forward to opening nearby. That was a point in my life that Wingstop was Apex on my list of favorite places. I remember meeting the founders at their first two locations and even contemplating investing in a franchise. Wish I had LOL. However my first experience at this new one was really dismal. Part of it was my own fault for trying to order on game day for the Dallas Cowboys. So I walked in to place my order, the waiting room was packed with people waiting for their orders. On my way in the door a lady looking very pissed and cursing exited. Not good signs at all. So I asked the young lady what is a realistic wait time for my order. She very smilingly said about 10-15 minutes. I said okay I just don't want to miss too much of the game. Customers continue to roll in, some had called in order some online. The people who are in there before me continued to Grumble and complain. As I watched the cook and staff working away, it was clear to me that the kitchen just isn't designed and equipped for multiple orders at once. They basically can only do a couple at a time, maybe three. A lot of times they would finish using the friolators for wings and then have to make fries which would slow down the process. They were pretty unorganized but they are new. The staff was trying their best. I told the young lady that if you had at least told me that it was going to be a long wait I would have passed and gone on home. Unfortunately I had paid in advance so I had to wait. The young lady told me that there was nothing they could do because they were backed up. I understand but you could at least tell your customers when they order that it will be a long wait and give them the choice. So almost exactly an hour later my food was finally ready. I went home to catch up on the game and eat. Missed the whole first quarter and part of the second. However the wings were extra greasy and overdone. The fries were burned and consistent mostly of the end pieces. I have worked in fast food in my youth and clearly the oil needed to be changed but they were so busy today didn't take the time. It has been a minute since I ordered from WingStop and in years past they used to give you celery and carrot sticks but I guess you have to ask for him or they may not offer anymore? I had worried first at this location might not do well because Mesquite Texas is funny about supporting their local businesses. They usually go all in or ignore. This one definitely was getting plenty of business. I wish them success but I've learned a lesson that I have had enough bad experiences with Wingstop, the one on Cartwright and this one, that I see that maybe they have grown too much and lost their personal service. The quality has diminished and there are too many other chicken wing restaurants that still can provide a quality product. When Wingstop is on point they are hard to beat but it only makes it more disappointing when...
Read moreFor those that don't know as of yet Mesquite welcomes a new and flavored filled location at 601 N. Galloway Ave. at Broadmoore Plaza next to CVS. I want to send a shout-out to Mr. Jay, the manager of this location. He heard me and showed up! Blessings to you and your flying wing crew!! Shamyra, Victor, Keshon, Jatyrien, Jamaya, Ambrieya, KeKe, KB, Brianna, (BriBri to me), and Amaya. For those I did not mention, you were not forgotten. Now, about the review at hand. This location will prosper because so far, they've reassured faith and trust back into this community. In the short time I visited, I learned that we all had the same feelings and experiences. It had been two years that I stopped patronizing WingStop. There is no need for details. Just know that exploring other options with other plucking wing specialists has also been an experience. Such as long wait times to sit, order, and eat. I was requested to give them time and try again. Ya'll, If you don't take your chicken eating happy a**es out to this new location for something good, it's your fault. Let me put this out there. Please be patient: chicken takes time to cook, you know why?! Because you are in line at WingStop. Allow them to give you great customer service, allow them to make sure your order is the way you requested it. Show them some love, say hello, and fist bump the managers. Welcome WingStop store #932. See you in passing, Blessings. Ms....
Read moreI see why the reviews are so shitty.. It's the closest one to me, so I figured I'd give them a shot. Worst idea ever. My fries were on point but very small serving for what should've been a family size. They did season the hell out of them though. The wings were completely horrible. They were cold, chewy, and completely the wrong flavor. I can't even tell you what they were, but it wasn't anything close to what I asked for. If I wasn't so far from work, I would've thrown it at them. It was supposed to be spicy lemon pepper and hot honey rub. It looks like hot sauce with random herbs sprinkled on them, and the lemon ones had no lemon flavor and they were swimming in oil and had the same herb seasoning. Again, don't know what the flavor was supposed to be, but it was garbage. Tried eating it anyways, but threw it away. Would love my money back plus some for the complete waste of time and gas.. THE most horrible experience when it comes to any wingstop. Do not...
