EDIT ANSWER: When I visited your location, I asked multiple times for a table and was consistently ignored. I’m honestly shocked at the lack of effort to resolve such a simple request, especially while we were physically there. At this point, reaching out after the fact feels pointless. The damage is done, and I can confidently say we won’t return to this location. Luckily, other Motek locations provide a much more welcoming and professional atmosphere, so that’s where we’ll go moving forward.
I’d strongly recommend rethinking your approach to customer service.

I’ve always been a fan of Motek and have enjoyed dining at various locations, but my experience at this particular one was deeply disappointing. We arrived for an early dinner around 5:30 PM, and despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the manager, Karen, informed us that no tables were available either inside or outside.
We explained that we planned to have a quick meal, but she insisted we eat at the bar. Karen’s attitude was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, making us feel as though she wanted us to leave. She shouldn’t work in hospitality!!! To make matters worse, we finished our meal in just 40 minutes, and the restaurant was still nearly empty when we left.
While I’ve consistently appreciated the food and atmosphere at other Motek locations, this experience has left me hesitant to return to this one. I hope management addresses this issue to ensure future guests receive the level of service Motek...
Read moreI stopped in for lunch at Motek in Miami Beach yesterday while it was raining, and it turned out to be a really cozy and vibrant place to hang out for a while. The space has this welcoming, upbeat vibe with lots of energy in the decor — even with the stormy weather outside, it felt warm and inviting inside. I’m not the biggest fan of Israeli food in general, so I wasn’t sure what to expect going in, but I was pleasantly surprised by a few things that really stood out.
The absolute highlight for me was the pita bread. It was next-level good. Perfectly baked, soft on the inside with just the right amount of crisp on the edges, and served warm. I paired it with the tzatziki and I could’ve honestly just eaten that the entire meal. It was creamy, flavorful, and super fresh, with a good balance of herbs and just the right tang. That combo alone would bring me back.
I did try a few other menu items as well, and while they were decent, they didn’t wow me the same way. I’d say the food overall was about a four-star for me, mostly because of personal preference, but the pita and dip were easily five-star worthy. Service was quick and friendly, and the whole place had a nice buzz without being too loud or crowded.
If you’re into Mediterranean or Middle Eastern flavors, or even if you’re just looking for a lunch spot in Miami Beach with good vibes and standout bread, Motek is...
Read moreThe food was very expensive for the portion size. And it wasn’t even really that good. They nickel and dime on everything, and everything is a fortune, relative to what you actually get served to you. Even down to the Diet Coke, which comes out of a tiny Diet Coke glass bottle. Then they automatically add 20% gratuity without even asking you or telling you in advance. And then, they ask you to tip EVEN MORE on top of the 20% that they automatically add to your bill. Taking liberties and having presumptuous, unprofessional etiquette. It was just me – one person, and they automatically added a 20% tip to the bill and then ask you to tip even more on top of that. How presumptuous can you be? And then when you say “no I’m fine with the 20%” (that they already added without asking if you were even satisfied with the service ), they ask you AGAIN if you are sure you don’t want to tip more, on top of the tip they already applied… Trying to pressure you repeatedly into giving you them even more money for no real reason. These are not quality business practices, this is doing anything you can to give your customers as minimal as possible, while taking as much money from them as you can, in sneaky and unforthcoming ways. I could never recommend a place like this. And I usually tip big - but it was the overall experience...
