I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tradewinds Apartment Hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. This place is an absolute hidden gem in the vibrant heart of Miami Beach!

Accommodation: The apartment-style rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, offering all the comforts of home. The kitchen was fully equipped, which was a fantastic bonus, especially for longer stays. The living area was cozy, with plenty of natural light, and the bedroom was a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. I appreciated the attention to detail, from the comfortable bed linens to the thoughtful touches like the coffee maker and quality toiletries.

Location: The location is unbeatable. Nestled in a quiet, charming neighborhood, yet just a short walk from the beach and the lively Collins Avenue, it’s the perfect balance of tranquility and accessibility. STAY AWAY. We stayed at Tradewinds in Jan of 2022. It was meant to be a week long, but on the first night, we found cockroaches climbing the walls in our room (I have a video I tried to upload). In addition to that, my mother in law had an allergic reaction to something in the room, I assume it was mold. We went down immediately to the front desk to tell them what happened and to check out of the hotel. This is where you learn the true nature of South Beach Hotel Group. The front desk claimed they couldn't do anything about the check out, but we had to call reservations. We called reservations, and the person told us they also couldn't do anything but they would send an email. No one, no manager, no call center, no one could help us. They offered us a different room, which we had to take since we didn't budget for two hotels. The next morning, we waited for the manager to call us. She didn't...but the front desk did and told us that we would have to pay that night, but the rest of the stay would come back to us. We asked for it in writing and once again, they said they don't have access to do that. It continues on like this. For the next five days, I tried to contact the hotel manager (Gabriella Fluerairu), but not response back. Every time I called the front desk, they said they couldn't do anything (yep, no access again to any funds through their computers) and I'd have to reach out to bookings/reservation. Called them everyday too, and guess what they said: They couldn't do anything about it, and I have to call the front desk. I continued to ask for reservations general manager, but they wouldn't connect me to their manager (twice this happened). I've now connected with City of Miami tourism to file a fraudulent charge against this hotel. This hotel has NO ONE who can help or do anything. Beyond all the above, the hotel has rat traps outside the rooms, it's very worn and not nice looking at all. Super dirty too. You were warned, take your chance if you want. I stayed at The Tradewinds as a solo traveler for a few nights and it was the best accommodation choice I could have made. I love Miami Beach and was looking for a place to unwind that was calm, tranquil and provided that tropical feel. Tradewinds did exactly this. From the moment I booked my stay and stepped into reception I was taken very good care of. This was my first time solo traveling and they put me at ease. The staff and management are friendly, accommodating and I truly felt they went above and beyond for me.

The room I stayed in was large, clean, had tons of closet space and the bed was super cozy! I loved that the front desk receptionist gave me a room choice based on location/availability. The suite had everything I needed. On that note, the front desk reception experience was top tier. I felt like I was at a 5-star resort. They took care of me and went above and beyond to help with my requests.

The pool area is delightful. As someone who knows a lot about tropical plants, I can say they take amazing care of their specimens and the grounds/property. It felt like staying at a botanic garden. The pool area was always calm, no loud music (like the nearby high rise resorts) and was comfy enough to take an afternoon nap each day I was there. I felt super safe with the codes on the secure doors on either side of the pool. The lounge chairs are very comfortable and I appreciated all of the umbrellas too. The hotel is so close to the beach (they have beach chairs too you can ask for) and is a short walk away to the Miami Botanical Garden (must see) and the shopping areas/restaurants.

5 Stars! The team went above and beyond and treated me as a guest even after I checked out (they extended a late checkout for me) as I had a later flight out of MIA. They helped me store my luggage after checkout so that I could continue to enjoy the day in Miami Beach.

I cannot wait to return soon and I have already told my friends and family about this hotel. It is a very reasonable price for the amazing return in service/accommodations you find. Look forward...
