We recently visited this restaurant on a Friday evening after reading some positive dinner reviews. While the exterior may not have been particularly inviting, the interior offered an attractive and pleasant ambiance.
One thing to note is that the seating inside the restaurant is a bit tight compared to other Argentinean restaurants we visited over the same weekend in South Beach, Bayside, and Brickell areas. The tables along the wall have cushioned seating on one side and chairs on the other, and they are placed quite close to each other.
Their menu offered a diverse selection of appetizers, entrees, and wines. To start our meal, we ordered salads and the grilled provolone cheese appetizer with prosciutto, which was both tasty and served in a good portion.
For our entrees, we tried the 8 oz. Center-Cut filet, which was lightly seasoned and enjoyable. We also decided to try something different - the Angus skirt steak. While it was cooked perfectly along with our grilled vegetables, it fell slightly below our expectations. This was not the fault of the restaurant; it just wasn't what we anticipated. We might have preferred a thicker cut steak like a Ribeye. The skirt steak was thin with a texture more suitable for dishes like fajitas or stir-fry rather than as a standalone item. If the skirt steak had been sliced and served with tortillas or mixed with other elements like rice and veggies, it could have been a more satisfying dish.
The dessert menu was truly impressive, offering a wide range of options, including the DULCE DE LECHE MOLTEN CAKE with banana split ice cream, which turned out to be one of our favorites during the entire trip.
In terms of service, it was good, but not quite five-star. We did encounter some language difficulties during our meal. While our waitress wasn't fluent in English, there were other bilingual staff members on the floor who could have assisted her more efficiently with our questions and basic requests.
Overall, we are glad we tried this restaurant. However, in the future, we might opt for a different Baires Grill location and definitely indulge in more of their...
Read moreWe had a reservation, but were seated at a table where we could only sit across from each other. We saw a corner table for two that was more spacious and would allow us to sit side by side, so we politely asked if we could switch. The woman who seated us (who seemed to be the manager) said that table was already reserved. We clearly mentioned that we had a reservation too, but she still refused. We didn’t press further and asked if we could sit outside instead so we can seat together, and she said yes. But just as we sat down, she came over again and told us that the table we were sitting at was for four people and that we shouldn’t be there. At that moment, we honestly didn’t know what to say — we had already tried to be cooperative, yet it felt like nothing we did was acceptable. She even gave us a very exasperated look, as if we were causing trouble, and finally said “OK” in a reluctant tone.
Throughout the entire situation, we remained polite. We simply wanted a table where we could sit next to each other — a completely reasonable request. But her attitude made us feel like we had done something wrong. What was most disappointing was that this kind of unprofessional and impatient behavior came from someone who appeared to be the manager in charge of seating.
Separately, the person who served us (a male staff member) wasn’t much better. While we were eating, we asked for an piece of bread that should have came with the grilled cheese we ordered. He acknowledged the request, but the bread never came — even after at least 20 minutes. The cheese is not eatable without the bread. When it arrived, the cheese has cooled down to frozen state. Totally wasted.
He also never cleared our empty plates. They stayed on the table long after we had finished eating, and only much later did he finally come to collect them.
Poor service attitude, lack of attention, and a complete disregard for basic hospitality — from both the front of house and the waitstaff. We will not return, and would not recommend this...
Read moreSooo, allow me to be frank and crysyal geiser clear...this place. Absolute GEM. Lol Let me tell you, from the moment we approached this fine establishment with live music bellowing from the doors, we were hooked. Being from Vegas and as a self-proclaimed foodie, when I see a fine establishment I look at it with a reluctant side eye. BUT this place ... knocked it clear out of the park. When I tell you not only were they able to cater to our dietary restrictions, but the food in which they serve is absolutely impeccable; believe me. Guys, I'm going to be dreaming about our meal for months to come. I ordered the Picanha with mashed squash. I don't even risk steak because not everyone can prepare it, but the great Luciano didn't steer me wrong with exquisite advice and service. I swooned at the first bite. Guys, I kid you not, the steak was made of dreams and this isn't hyperbole, the mashed squash was like ice cream; so fluffy! If you have picky eaters, that don't like they're veggies haha does Baires have something for them! My honey, the vegetarian, had the spinach ravioli and seeing him sahp up the tomatoe and pesto sauce with complimentary assorted breads made my heart smile. Guys, the portions aren't small either! You will be full and well taken care of. Eveyone here was incredible kind, from the trio that greeted us at the door, to the young lady who sat us, to Luciano, to the busser, to the amazingly charming restaurant manager. Despite my airport attire, we were still treated with respect; never neglected and treated so well. The beautiful modern elegance and warm ambiance makes you feel at ease and prepares you for the finest meal Miami has to offer. Trust me, you won't want to miss this place! Thank you everyone at Bairnes for such and amazing...
