Plato's Closet — Attraction in Miami Township

This location has plummeted for various reasons. I had previously been a frequent shopper, but quit going due to lack of selection for adult males. While the staff did in fact appear professional kind and courteous. It was just a facade. I believe the staff tonight was simply just lazy. Including the manager on duty. While they're not obligated to buy whatever you bring in, style being subjective etc. My issue and reasons I think laziness applies to this crew is this. I brought in a rather large stock of clothing to sell. 264 pieces to be exact. Ranging from perfect snow white timberland boots to leather and swade jackets. They had several other orders to review before mine. Somehow they miraculously went through every item in 10 minutes from when I dropped the last bit of clothing off. They declined to purchase a single item stating they were children's clothes and to take them next door to the once upon a child children's place. I did so. Which resulted in the manager going in telling them I assume to get their act together because there was not a single item of child clothing in there. All of that would have been whatever. Lies on their part, but what they didn't know is that I was waiting for a friend, so I never left the parking lot and had a perfect view into their store. They never went through all of those items. They simply slid it to the side and put a finish ticket on it or whatever. Besides, the blatant lies to my face. It also effectively wasted a good chunk of my time and the time of the workers next door at once upon a child. Had they done their job and just looked at the items I had brought in instead of just sliding it to the side without visual inspection their would be no story to tell. I can't really blame the staff. I blame the management who allows and deems this acceptable and possibly...

They don’t even deserve one star! Those people are so rude and ignorant! They talk about you and laugh, they’re very unprofessional! The owner needs to hire new workers! The ones working there make you feel so uncomfortable and they don’t greet you or anything. They will let you stand there. They will whisper about you, look at you and they all laugh. They also will shorten you, even when you bring in new clothes with tags on them or brand new expensive shoes and clothes and shoes that’s very clean, odor free never worn or only worn once. They will take accept a lot of your stuff and pay you a very small amount, it’s ridiculous! They also make up and excuses saying your other stuff they couldn’t take because of the condition it was in. I brought in mostly brand new clothes and shoes in great shape and very clean, and I was confused when the Asian guy with the dyed blonde hair said something about the condition of the rest of my stuff. Which was a lie, because I made sure I picked out the best things to sell to Plato’s. It’s crazy they had a lot of excuses for my items and even talked about me and laughed in my face , as soon as I walked in ( the skinny blonde girl, the Hispanic guy and the Asian guy) they’re lucky I didn’t stoop down to their level, I feel dumb for staying quiet and accepting how they treated me. Next time if I ever go back, and the same thing happens, I will be saying something! I don’t care who gets mad or calls the cops. They shouldn’t be treating customers the way they treat them. Matter of fact, I don’t even want to go back to a place that has ignorant employees like them! That place sucks! I should call...

Let me just say this first! I absolutely used to love the staff here and I would come in with 3-4 great big lawn bag of clothing to sale. I would always have name brand and newer styles and would ALWAYS walk away with $150-250 and still half of my items. I always was super friendly to staff and tried to cheer up someone if they seemed to be down or whatever so they knew that customers cared about them as well. Well this has definitely changed in the last few weeks! I brought my usual amount of clothing and shoes and I walked around the store while they went through my things. Well I was just observing the manager and another girl talking and on their phone most of the time. So I walked out front of the store and went to sit in my vehicle mind you was directly in front of the store with a direct sign of sight. Well when they found the time to actually start sorting my items again I literally seen the manager grab a handful of clothes and stuff it into another bag of clothes. Not once did she take even a glance at any of them but she literally didn't even go through a whole bag! I confronted her about it because they were still folded as I had and placed them into the bag she lied straight to my face and she stated that the owners were telling them to "Quick Sort". But I'm pretty sure that doesn't mean to grab handful of clothes and throw them in another bag before the customer sees! This place is gone down hill 100%! They have let go of the great employees for teenagers that couldn't even give me the correct change! GET IT TOGETHER because customer service is KEY!!
