Terrible experience today at my local Hobby Lobby. Workers stocking shelves and not helping customers. Carts they rolls product out on were squeaky and load. Employees just barreled down the isles with product falling off all sides onto the floor while stocking the shelves. Customers have to jump out of the way to avoid a collision. Fabric Sale, but no one to actually assist customers. Or should I say no one willing. Three fabric department workers. One assisting at the cutting counter. Other two hiding, one actually ran the other way when she saw me waiting. Continued to hide as she watched me put items back. Saved about $150 today. Because I put everything I planned to purchase back. I understand customer service isn't the most glamorous or thankful job in the world. But I like think I am very kind, polite and appreciative when being helped. But the lack of eye contact and avoidance is really disappointing to say the very least. This is not my first experience like this. One particular employee regularly avoids helping and badmouths the previous customer when...
Read moreDon't recommend coming here when Tonia D is working. Don't know if she was just having a bad night or what, but threatening to void a transaction over just making sure I got everything correctly priced is a bit over kill. Sorry I bought things that were 40% off and you wanted to "make sure" with your manager that they were, and that I wanted to make sure the things that had already been rang up, were discounted. But when you price the 2.99 bag of candy that you first rang up at $291, yeah I want to double check. I've worked retail since I was 16 and can confidently say I've never been this rude and hostile to customers. Maybe take a vacation if you're going to be this angry?
Edit; My husband and I did sit down and go over the receipt when we got home. We were over charged for 2 random items that weren't even the clay. So because she was so angry and flustered that I was trying to help her, she did ring us up wrong. Can you guys please...
Read moreI am absolutely horrified by what happened during my visit to Hobby Lobby. I came in looking for Pride decorations—something simple to support my cousin’s daughter, who is gay and transgender. I noticed there wasn’t a single Pride item in the entire store, so I asked a worker about it.
What she said left me shaking. She looked me dead in the eye and said, “No, we don’t support that agenda here.” Then she had the audacity to recommend conversion therapy and told me I should “turn to God” instead.
I was stunned. I felt sick. It’s 2025 and this kind of hateful, backwards mindset is not only offensive—it’s dangerous. My cousin’s daughter deserves love, respect, and visibility—not to be erased, judged, or told she needs to be “fixed.”
Hobby Lobby, you should be ashamed. This wasn’t just a lack of inclusion—this was outright bigotry. I will never step foot in your store again, and I’ll make sure everyone I know hears exactly what kind of...
