So normally I don't write bad reviews but I was super annoyed this morning when I went to exchange a pair of bottoms that were on the wrong hanger (we're meant to be a meduim but we're an extra small). I tried to find the right ones and found that every single pair of bottoms if they had for the bikinis which weren't very many, we're all on the wrong hangers. I went and asked the gentleman at the customer service desk if they could see if they had the right size as they weren't there. He asked if I wanted to return them since the closest store was in the city. I said no I had bought the top and could it be shipped here. He said no but you can return those here and order them on line. I said no I didn't want to return them I wanted to exchange them and have them send the new ones to the store (in case it was the wrong size again). He said he could return them. Again I said i didn't want to return them. He said I could try and go find another pair. I told him there weren't any that matched. I had looked. He said "oh." I told him i would try and find something and ended up grabbing a black pair (the top is red but there were only two extra larges). I told him that someone should check the front as they were all on the wrong hangers and it took another employee saying she would check. Since they were a dollar different he told me he had to "return them anyway." I've been in customer service a long time. There are ways you say things to people. This was not it. Honestly it's the beginning of summer too. If I'm going to pay 40 bucks for a target swim suit they could at least have more then extra larges and extra smalls and have them on the...
Read moreI was misled about the price of an expensive item.
I was shopping for a Robotic Vacuum cleaner, and found a high-end one at Target when browsing online. It didn't have the sale price listed - you had to "add to cart" to find out. I did, and it came up as $249.99. I went to the store, found the product in a pile without the price visible, so I used my Target App to scan the BarCode - it was $249.99. I even got an email from Target afterward, since I never did anything with the online cart, reminding me that it was $249.99.
So, I bought the product with a bunch of other stuff, but it rang up for $299.99. It sounded weird, but the store was busy (it was around the holidays), so I waited until I got home to look into it - I reviewed the receipt and compared with the website (and the email) to find the discrepancy. I called the store that evening, and was told that I could come in within two days and get it resolved. I went in the next day - magically, the website now reflected the price that I paid (not the one that was advertised), so, despite having the email and receipt reflecting the same date, they wouldn't do anything. I pointed out that I would have been better off ordering the product online from Target's website and then returning it with the receipt for my in-store purchase, and the clerk agreed...
I don't like being baited-and-switched. I'm cancelling my RedCard and I'll just shop at WalMart and Amazon moving forward, as Target doesn't...

I recently visited the Langhorne store. We found 2 items we wanted to buy for our daughter. We had just come from another near by target and found one of the items but not the other. We noticed the prices were different, then we checked the website and the prices were the same as the first store. So we went to the register and asked if they would price match the site and the other store. We were directed to guest services. After 30min wait we finally spoke with A CSR and asked about the price match, that's when the CSR looked at her supervisor or coworker "Denise" from guest services, who rudely told us that "they will NOT price match the site and if they did, it would only be for one item" I than asked why the other store had it for the price listed on the site but they didn't. The reply was that "it doesnt matter what the other store has it listed for this is what they are selling it here for, that not all store have the same prices".
At this point I lost it, and left. WHY SHOULD I BUY FROM A BRICK & MORTER STORE, IF I CAN GET IT ONLINE AT THE BEST PRICE W/ FREE SHIPPING & NOT WASTE MY TIME, PATIENCE & GAS. I'm not sure why we need this store or anyone that works there. They sure as hell cant provide good customer service or beat the ease of doing it all online...
