Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers — Attraction in Midlothian

One of my cars was having issues so I brought it here to Express Oil this past Saturday afternoon.

I spoke to Jim and he was very courteous and attentive while I explained to him what was going on with my car.

He went to take a look at it and he knew IMMEDIATELY what was wrong. He's great! He had to order me a new tire as the problems were coming from my worn out, old one. The Tire supplier they have closes after a certain time on Saturdays so it couldnt be delivered til Monday.

So Monday came and Jim was there and I didnt have to refresh his memory like u gotta do elsewhere. He knew exactly what was going on and he got on it rite away. My car was repaired super quick and the issues I had with my car have been resolved.

So far, my cars have been serviced by Brett and Jim and they have been wonderful. no attitude or anything, just really nice mechanics who know what they are doing. I hope to see them again when I bring my other cars in since I had pleasant experiences with them already. Actually, all the people there are really pleasant.

Also, Keep in mind, that theres other places who couldve serviced me that Saturday with a tire ready to switch out but im a patient person so I waited an extra day because I trust this place, and their service. I dont usually go anywhere else to service my cars.

If u kinda dont like standing around awkwardly waiting for your car to be serviced, Theres a waiting room with a water fountain, a bathroom, a tv and seating. I brought my own magazine to read but they had plenty there. Plus there was a coffee station and glass jar filled with chocolates 😍

I normally go here for oil changes but today I decided to get an alignment done cuz there always so nice n I could walk around the mall while I waited ...I was advised after waiting 2 hours that they couldn't do it unless I fixed the ball joints so if course I asked how much was that total I was told 226.00 so I said ok that was fine. Now keep in mind we started at 89.99. I knew there was about to be problems after I was told by the manager Willie they wouldn't be able to finish because it was getting late in the day at that point I told him if u can't finish today don't do anything because u told me it would be done today and wouldn't take more than 2 hours. Mind you I called before I went up there. I went back at 5 and my car was still being worked on about 30 min later I'm being told by Willie to look at my vehicle because he can't do the alignment correctly because there was a part that was frozen and I would need to replace the part. I immediately declined and stated that I am not replacing another part. He proceeded to say he would try to get the piece out and I waited about 15 min later and was then told the alignment wasn't going to be able to be done correctly. At this time I was told but u can pay 70.00 on top of everything else to have it done. Mind u my vehicle was there from 1:30 and u wait until 7min before u close to add on more things. The manager said he was doing me a favor by charging for the part only.he implied there was so much wrong with my vehicle but the only thing that was wrong at 4 when he told me about the ball joint and now my vehicle had so much stuff that had to be done. I paid them 345 for 1ball joint no alignment n they want another 70 stay away from here ...I will never...

I have been coming here for quick oil changes for about 6 or 7 years without any problems.... until now... I went for an oil change on my jeep on 8/9/21 and when the lady who was working on my car finished, I turned the car on and there was no oil pressure. The lady told me that she did not know why I did not have any oil pressure and assured me that it was a problem with my engine and nothing she did. I had her pull the dipstick out which was full/clean, so I went home to troubleshoot. After about a week and a half I could not figure out what the problem was, so I got in my vehicle to drive it a shop and my car started smoking. Thankfully I was passing an Advanced Auto so I pulled into the parking lot and popped my hood to see what was wrong. As you can see from the pictures, Express Oil snapped the oil sending unit off my engine and it was spitting oil all over my engine/exhaust system and all over the road. I ended up buying a new unit at Advanced Auto and replacing it myself in the parking lot.

Take this as a warning - if you value your vehicle and do not want a bunch of amatures working on your car, just take it to a reputable mechanic like Allen Tire for your routine mainetenece. I cannot believe Express Oil let me leave their facility after showing them my oil pressure guage, but here we are. Hopefull my engine did not suffer any permenant damage. 1 out of 5 stars. If I could leave them zero stars, trust me, I would. ...
