Hidden gem in downtown Milwaukee. This park isn’t well known but it is worth while seeking it out. Lovely in any time of year or time of day. There is a paved trail that winds between the Summerfest grounds and the Lake. You can ride your bike or walk from the little red lighthouse near the Hohn bridge past Discovery World and the Art Museum. There are benches, a few picnic tables, porta-potties, wild flowers and scenery galore. Easy to connect to Hank Aaron trail or Oak Leaf trail. Flat all the wall along Bradford Beach to the north until the water treatment for easy bike riding. (All that isn’t in the State Park but it’s easily accessible from here. Read moreI was on the shore lines of South Shore Park and Cupertino Park. They run together and both were very very beautiful. The asthenosphere was amazing and everyone was very nice, even their dogs.
What looks like a busy place because of all the cars is actually a big enough place and I didn't see many people as id expected to see.
This might be because they have a Yacht Club on the lot or the the residential area just across the street. Many may have been inside of there. In any case, this part of the lake is beautiful, quiet, and fun. Very family friendly ☺️ ONE...
