Let’s take a journey through my experience here. After a long day of driving my traveling companion and I pulled up to a quaint motel I had made a prior reservation at. We entered the main office and to our dismay, we were greeted by a kiosk that If bumped into, would break open. The card and ID reader didn’t work so I was forced to give my card number to a mysterious man, obviously not from Utah, directly. Now on to the room. While decent enough at first glance, every second in that room raised a new concern. From the ash in the toilet to the questionable smudges and hand prints on the walls. They appeared to be from a rather small woman with very dirty hands, incase you were wondering. The bathroom made me question if I should get a hepatitis test after this trip. The half used toilet paper roll looked like it had been dipped in sewage and left to dry. And the shower. Oh the shower. With its moldy peeling linoleum and hair strands from another unfortunate soul to wander into room 101….have you ever felt dirtier after getting out of a shower? Neither have I. Until last night. But the floor got cleaned with the lake of water that had overflowed onto it. The cleaning staff did do something though. They came loudly banging on the door at 8am screaming for housekeeping. I turned the first away and in 5 minutes another followed suit. I hope they enjoyed their free show since with the earth shattering banging coming from the door, I couldn’t locate a shirt either time. I hope that “flash” helped shed light on all the grime they missed. Or at least brightened their day.

FYI, I have stayed at the Inca inn many times in the past while in Moab. Unfortunately, my last visit is just that. I will not return. It used to be a nice mom and pop business. Now it is owned by some group of businesses that also own the Adventure hotel next door. There is a computer Kiosk in the lobby to check you in and out ( by a remote foreign person somewhere in the world…. You must walk to the hotel next door to get a key or to speak with a human if you have a problem. First off, I will list the positives. Great Ice machines!! One of the lowest prices in town. ( which isn’t saying much because they are ALL over priced!) Its better than sleeping in your car. No bugs seen. The negatives. Broken microwave handle. No guest check in staff Duct taped pipes under the sink. Complete with sewer gas smells. Stinky pillows Lousy mattresses Filthy floors due to the parking lot and sidewalks covered in sand. The pool has been replaced with a concrete patio. The pool was one of the main reasons I used this hotel in the past…. The toilet paper roll looked like it had been sitting in a wet floor then put in our room. Only one curtain per window!?? Is there a curtain shortage?? For the price, things should be MUCH BETTER.

Yes, i had to check in next door. That was fine but inconvenient. Yes, they called me asking when I was checking in at 6:23 pm but couldn’t answer their question because in the remote desert it’s hard to get phone service, That was a nuisance and not needed. Send a text explaining the check in process. The room was unsecured with all windows left unlocked. Nothing but some wavy glass in bathroom window. You can see shapes and shadows with light on. For the price I wasn’t expecting much but no heat when the night temperatures are high teens?? Come on! The heater went out between 2-7. At 8:30 it was 30 degrees in my room. I was grateful I brought a thick blanket I had to go get at midnight because the heater was resetting itself and I had to get up to turn the heat back on. I tried calling and messaging but no one to help solve the issue. Made sleeping difficult. I can’t shower or get out of my blanket. Took 3 hours to get out of bed wasted daylight in Moab. I agree stay somewhere else….

When we arrived, the manager informed us the room wasn’t ready because the room was next to the boiler room and the boiler was broken. It had leaked water into our room. He told us the repair person was fixing the boiler at that time. He would also dry the carpet by the bathroom where it had leaked from the boiler room. We asked him point blank if it would be repaired and the carpet dried by the time we were back and he stated yes. He informed us there were no other rooms available. He mentioned another hotel that had a room but didn’t have enough beds and would require a rollaway bed. Because he assured us the problem would be fixed and the other hotel room didn’t have enough beds, we elected to stay. When we came back the carpet was damp, so we picked up extra towels for the carpet thinking it was just a little damp but that was okay, even though it wasn't dry like he promised. The manager was at the front desk and gave us the towels, so he knew the room number we were in and never stated the boiler wasn’t fixed. The next morning the water had spread under the bed to the other side of the room and all of my mother’s things were soaked. In the morning we went to the front desk to check out and talk to the manager. We were informed he wouldn’t be in until later. So, we explained everything to the woman at the desk. She took detailed notes, which she wrote down in front of us and read back to us. We explained how dissatisfied we were with the situation, wanted a refund, and definitely wanted the manager to call us back. We gave our cell number. The manager never called us, so we called him that afternoon. He claimed he never received a message from the front desk. Then he stated he wasn’t the manager, but was only a desk clerk even though he presented himself to us as the manager AND the woman at the front desk called him the manager. Then he said rudely, “Tell me what you want”, and we told him we wanted a refund. He said he can only give us $50. We told him that was unacceptable. We will never stay here again and do not recommend anyone...

On September 10, 2025 a reservation was booked for two at Inca Inn via TripAdvisor and the website indicated the hotel had a pool and free continental breakfast. Upon arriving to the hotel there was a note on the lobby door at 570 North Main Street directing hotel guests to check in at the hotel located at 512 North Main Street (pic). Upon checking in it was discovered Inca Inn no longer has an operational pool or offers a free breakfast yet there are informational flyers on the tables outside of the hotel rooms listing the hours for the pool and breakfast (pic). A room key was obtained and there is assigned parking spots based on your room number. When trying to park in the assigned parking spot it was discovered our car would be blocking another hotel guest’s car. I walked back to 512 North Main Street to discuss this issue and the employee suggested a parking spot next to the street so I asked for another room but was informed other rooms would cost more. At this point I asked for a refund / cancel our room but was informed since it was booked through TripAdvisor that was not an option. We ended up parking in the corner of the hotel parking lot between two assigned parking spots (pic). Upon entering our room, it was discovered there was only one towel for two guests. I tried calling the phone number for Inca Inn but no one answered so I walked a third time to 512 North Main Street to obtain another towel and obtained a contact phone number. We ended up using one towel on the corner bench, as it appeared dirty, prior to placing luggage on it. Additional issues include the privacy door latch being broken (pic), the light on the wall above the television did not work (wall light switch would not even move up or down), and discovered sand on the bedsheets. It is perplexing how this hotel can have a 4.4 star rating on TripAdvisor. TripAdvisor was contacted due to incorrect amenities listed on their website and once screen shots were submitted proving this partial compensation...

Checked in and immediately checked out. Place is gross. This is a budget motel, the kind where seedy stuff happens in movies. They have a virtual kiosk with someone in the Philippines who checks you in. BTW, been to Philippines, loved it. Nothing but love for the Philippines. But someone on the other side of the globe can't do much for in person customer service. Requested to speak with manager. 1 guy working who is unhelpful. We had booked this place based on positive online reviews months ahead of time. VERY disappointed when we showed up. For the $161 price tag, there were no amenities. The room smelled like urine, the bathroom was dirty, and the room was tiny and very basic. The area was noisy, and customer service was terrible/non existent. We checked in and stayed about 20 minutes, just long enough to book another hotel on the other side of town. The manager couldn't help us with the price and said we had to complain to Perkspot (which was another irritating can of worms to deal with) to get our money back. Inca Inn refunded us for only 2 of the 3 days after a lot of bad noise and long phone calls. We came from half the country away and did a lot of online research into the hotels in the area before picking Inca Inn. I hope this review reaches people so that they don't get into a bad situation and spend a lot of extra $$$ booking a last minute hotel like I did. I'm insulted that hotels believe it is ok to dumb down their customer service to a kiosk with a person at a call center. Its as if they dont think their customers are worthy of in person service. As if they just don't care if we have a good experience. No one likes talking to a call center, ever. Forcing me to talk to a call center kiosk tells me that you dont care about your customers enough to ensure that you have staff on hand to ensure a...
