In my 49 years on earth I have never had a worse lodging experience, including what some consider 3rd world countries. I echo others here when I say this place is foul. To start with the front desk attendant was dirty, disheveled and had body odor. Not to judge those that are making an effort to work a job, we took our key cards and went to our room.||||The towels and linens smelled like mildew, the bathroom floors, sinks and tub have residue and also smelled. Again, taking it in stride and planning on it being a place to shower and sleep, we pushed on...until the third day. At 6:15 am I exited to put the first of several items of luggage and clothing into my vehicle. Magically, the key cards did not work upon trying to re-enter. ||||Upon going to the front desk, I discovered several guests trying to check in and others looking for the hotel breakfast. Both the breakfast and attendant were completely absent. I attempted to call the number on the desk for nearly two hours. Eventually a housekeeper arrived and was able to let me into my room, however it was too late for me to make it to the airport for a flight. The houskeeper called the general manager who told her on the phone she didnt want to deal with it. DESK ATTENDANT MISSING IN ACTION AND THE MANAGER DIDNT RESPOND AND REFUSED TO SPEAK WITH ME.||||I then called the Moab Police concerned that the attendant was unconscious, deceased or ???? in the living quarters. They were able to bang loud enough to wake him and when I told him about the issue he tried to blame me and my wife for damaging the key cards....both key cards worked for 3 days then magically stopped at 6:00 am? I advised him that I wanted a refund and he passed the blame to Expedia and told me I had to contact them.||||Having to stay in town and re-book flights, I spent 30 minutes on the phone with Expedia who had to call the hotel regarding my complaint. The attendant wouldnt answer the phone so I drove to the hotel while on the phone with Expedia. He said the phone never rang so I had the Expedia rep call while I was in the lobby. I could see the phone lighting up while he told me it wasnt ringing. I told him to hold the phone up showing an incoming call while the ringer was not making sound. I told him to answer and like a miracle, Expedia was able to speak with him. He then said the manager needed to authorize the refund, the same cowardly manager that wouldnt respond when he was MIA and he then stated would contact me the following day. ||||Absolutely the most cowardly, poorly run, nasty place Ive ever been, including dive hotels in South America. An embarassment to Moab, Days Inn...
Read moreAvoid at all costs. I have never written a review for a hotel as I'm not picky at all. Aesthetics don't concern me but comfort most definitely does.
Where to begin, the beds are terrible I usually like my bed firm but after a very sleepless night i woke up in pain due to the poor support. As a young 30 year old I have never had this. I had better college dorm beds given to me. Pillows were basically $10 throw pillows stuffed into a pillow cover. Not designed for sleeping on at all. There is no under blanket, just the disgusting top level one which I'm sure they don't wash often enough. The showers constantly went from usable temperature to scalding hot, like don't get it in your eyes cause it could blind you hot. This was completely irrelevant to what we did with toilets or sinks. Not that I would ever care about this but the cherry on top was that they had their hot and cold backwards on the shower knob.
There is no hotel security other than your room door. Anyone can just walk into the building since the doors have no security readers. Not what I would expect for an indoor motel (or one that costs as much as one).
The hot tub wouldn't have been bad if it wasn't the temperature of lava. The pool I never went in because it's built outside across the parking lot like a horrible joke of an add on.
Finally they didn't have any breakfast due to a short in their A/C system in the break room. would they give a refund? Of course not. They will either refund you your money and you can leave. That is provided you discover all this before you stay the night and the manager is actually there which they never are. Or shut up and go back to your room because they know once you get here you won't be able to find anything else.
All this for a generous $100 a night. I picked this place because I wanted to save $40 a night. Knowing this I will gladly spend that to stay somewhere else. I hope this review helps save some people from this nightmare of a rooming...
Read moreThis was probably the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. It started at check in. The start of the interaction being having to call for someone to be at the front desk it wasn't particularly late so was slightly confused but wasn't overly phased by this. The lady at the front desk was friendly enough. I got myself all paid for when she asks if I have any pets. I state. I don't have a pet but I do have my service dog with me. This is when she insists that I pay a pet deposit with cash. I then repeated I have a service dog. A trained medical device. She continued to insist on a pet fee being paid until I pointed out it is against ADA federal law for her to charge me for my service dog then the topic was dropped. For a location that is advertised as Service Animal Friendly you would think they would be educated on what service animal means. After I got my keys I go to my room it wasn't awful you could see some wall patch work but not a huge deal but then I started to look closer. The sheet had black charcoal like stains, there was a heavy layer of dust on most things. It looked like all they had done to prepare the room was place some towels. Make the bed (with the same sheets as the last guest) and lightly vacuumed the floor. The bed sheet was visibly clean on one side of the bed so I decided I could handle this for 2 nights. The next morning I got up to go breakfast as it was supposedly included. Only to find out that there was only stale cereal not even milk to go with it. There was places for bread, waffles, fruit but nothing was out. So I went to where there 24/7 hot drink machines are only to find they were empty and disgusting likely never cleaned. The lobby also smells of old curry. I would suggest going somewhere else there are plenty of cheaper places with better reviews or spend the extra money to go somewhere nicer. This place is not...
