ALDI — Attraction in Monrovia

I’m a department manager and a big chain grocery store, I usually do my shopping at my store but I forgot to get a few things, so I decided to try Aldi for the first time. I did my shopping no big deal didn’t find the few things I needed but what could you do with such a small selection. As I was leaving I was bagging my groceries outside my car and putting them in my car, I set the cart to the side so it wouldn’t roll away and hit a nearby car as I was putting in my last bag an employee who was standing outside sanitizing carts( with window cleaner not actual sanitizer) yells at me that i better put the cart back in front of the store! Now idk how this company trains the employees but in my professional opinion that was one of the rudest and unprofessional employee I’ve had to deal with. The employee name was Louie. I go there for the great prices. I hate going there because the entire staff are lazy, inconsiderate, and rude. If you bring in a cold bag with ice packs, the least they can do is put your cold items in it. Nope. If you buy canned goods and bread, they will put the cans on the bread. I once lost a wedding ring there. A man outside the store told me he'd found it and turned it in to the manager. I asked the manager about it and he, naturally, said nothing had been turned in. When you you buy eggs or milk there it will be dripping with milk and egg. 10 people waiting in line and only 1 register open is their norm. When employees start acting rude and dismissive of their customers, it’s time for them to move on. This is my suggestion to Luis, a manager at Aldi’s in Monrovia. Perhaps he’s been there too long, or not compensated enough for his work, even so I didn’t appreciate being disrespected and dismissed when I inquired about an extra charge on my receipt. He refused to listen to me, which is what upset me the most. Perhaps more than the quarter he handed me as compensation. I wonder if he grasped the extent of the insult?
