The place was nice and clean, parking was okay, and it seemed like a really great spot for lunch. Unfortunately the staff at the time seemed especially on-edge, and it made me feel like just us being there was ruining their day. I know customer service isn't fun, and I've experienced days like that, but their attitude really made the experience worse.
I ordered the pretzels and queso and a bison burger. The pretzels were surprisingly good, and I enjoyed the queso as well, but the burger was just horrendous. The burger came deconstructed so that I may build it the way I want, but the ingredients and the patty itself were just awful. I was given several mashed pickles that were a sneeze away from flying off the plate. I had three tomato slices that were not only super thick but also were all bottoms of tomatoes. Normally I wouldn't complain about something so small, I really thought it wasn't a big deal, but I could not get them to stay on the burger because of their shape! They just kept sliding out, it was ridiculous. And to top it all off, the patty itself was disgusting. I do feel bad writing a review like this as I normally couldn't care less about things like this but I could not finish that burger to save my life. The patty tasted like someone had left it on a grill way too long. It was dry and unflavored and left a bad taste in my mouth.
I'd be willing to give it another try, maybe if the conditions are different, and if I eat something else. But with the experience I had I'm not sure if...
Read moreWe came back here after visiting a few years back. Was kind of disappointed in our food and especially the service. I'm hoping our server was having an off day because she definitely wasn't into providing the kind of service I would think you want in your restaurant. I am not the type to complain about meals and if she had even stopped by to ask how our meal was, we would have explained that a couple of the meals were not prepared well. She wasn't very engaging with us at the table and it should have shown in her tip, but I gave her more than enough for her efforts. I have been in retail sales for close to 20 years and customer service is a priority at my company. We take it very seriously because we are the front line to our business. If we fail when the customer walks in, no matter the product we sell, being merchandise or meals, people will shop elsewhere. I am sure that you would agree and I hope that you would take measures to train and instill that in all your employees. We all have bad days and I hope this was just one of them. I am sorry to have to leave such a review as this and hope that things change...
Read moreLoved our bartender Mike, he was extremely friendly and made our time at the bar feel like home! He had wonderful suggestions on the menu, and the drinks. The service was wonderful. Very prompt and all of the suggestions exceeded my expectations. The food is fantastic, even for upscale bar food. However, watching the manager at the end of the bar scold other employees during our meal was something that should have been properly handled in a private place! The manager should learn how to do her job and run the business accordingly and not reprimand the employees in a public environment...it's looks bad on the business! *However, I would have normally given The Craggy Range a 5 star rating. For the wonderful service and food. However, after I initially posting this review. The manager came over and was extremely hostile wondering why I was taking pictures of her and made me feel very uncomfortable! When I explained what I was doing she gave me attitude and walked away.
