I love this market. It is a year round market that has the best local farmers in the entire region! Some of the highlights of the market are the maple syrup (WV maple syrup is better than Vermont, IMHO), local honey, peaches (again... WV peaches are the best in the US), meats (all sorts, including things like trout, rabbit, all cuts of beef, and chicken), and cheeses. There is always something new to try... for example, I just got a Amarillo Yellow watermelon and some gooseberries. Read moreI recently moved here from Ca. I was very happy to find the Morgantown Farmers Market. So many yummy items from local farmers and vendors. Fresh produce, baked goods, coffees, tea, hand made crafted items, plants, flowers, pet products, breads. Jewelry and more.We tried the fresh flatbread with Tomato and Basil, so yummy. We got some Broccoli and Spicy microgreens from the Olive Branch Farm. SO good! We’ve already finished both boxes. We had to try the Red Velvet Biscotti, it was delicious. And my Favorite purchase was my GORGEOUS flower bouquet from Mayfield Farm.They are STUNNING !! I We loved the Farmers Market and can’t wait to go back next week! Super friendly people...
Read moreI've never been to a farmers market before, and this weekend makes the 2nd time I've been to the Morgantown Farmers Market. I must say that I LOVE IT! GREAT prices for items you use everyday, and much cheaper and healthier than going to Walmart or Kroger for the same products. I also saw an information booth that states you can use your SNAP/EBT benefits there as well, for anyone who may need that info; which I think is great, as many people who receive those benefits have difficulty finding healthy foods for cheap (coming from a social worker).
