So, finally decided to get a haircut.... Let's skip over the part about it being slightly too long since my last cut.... And, living in downtown Mo-town, I decide to try out 18|8 - "Treat Yo-self", my inner voice said. Looked like a nice place from the website, so I booked a time online (super easy!) and headed over about an hour later.
I was greeted by the cutest girl on the planet, and before I could propose marraige, I was wisked away to an awesome waiting area, with chairs that appear to have been constructed from old airplanes and stolen royal leather. (Sorry, Vegans - I didn't see any animal free seating options). I literally only had moments to enjoy the chair, when Jennifer lead me off to fix 7 weeks of hair neglect....
Jennifer was awesome. My hairs have never looked better, and rarely have had as much fun getting a cut - and I'm pretty sure I was invited to a pool party before I left.... In short, great haircut, friendly place, and good atmosphere.
Thanks, and see you soon for that...
Read moreUpdated review: after posting the below review, the owner called my husband and apologized for the experience, refunded the credit card and added the remaining balance of the gift certificate to his profile at the salon. The owner mentioned that it was not the right thing to do with the expiration of the gift card - so we thank her for making the situation right. My husband had a good experience at the salon with Alyssa and overall the haircut and experience was very good.
Original review: I purchased a gift card for my husband last year for Father’s Day and he is just getting around to using it. They wouldn’t except the gift card because the bar code wouldn’t scan when my husband went to pay. He drove 40 minutes for a haircut and they then proceeded to tell me that it wouldn’t matter anyway since it’s now expired. No where on the gift card does it have an expiration date - not good business, especially around the holidays. I’m completely disgusted that I would spend money for a gift card that...
Read moreI went in wanting to dye my hair and i was assured that my stylist knew how to do curly hair, I very much learned that was just said to keep me there because I have never seen someone so convinced they did a good job when it looked obviously so bad. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she told me she knew what to do but when I tell you she dyed literally only 10 strains of my hair! And it was golden even when I said I wanted it blonde. When she took off the foil she knew she messed up just by her face and she then continued to gaslight me into saying that’s what I asked for. I was in shock that I just had to leave and I still had to pay 85 dollars! I had to find another salon that actually knew what they were doing. Just horrible. The first picture is what she left me with and the second picture, is after I had to find a different salon that knew what...
