ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING – A MUST-SEE EARTHLY WONDER! If there’s one place on this entire planet that will make your jaw drop, your eyes widen, and your soul do a backflip – it’s the Stacks in Morro Bay. I’m talking next level beauty. These towering giants are like the gods of nature decided to flex their muscles right in front of you. They rise from the earth like monuments built by ancient celestial architects – bold, raw, powerful. The texture, the contrast, the way the sunlight hits them in the golden hour – it’s a freaking religious experience. You don’t just look at the Stacks… you feel them. They vibrate with some ancient, mystical energy that makes you want to sell all your belongings and build a tiny shack nearby just to worship their magnificence daily. Seriously, it’s like Mother Nature took a hit of pure inspiration and created these just to show off. Now – real talk – there’s this weird, awkwardly shaped mountain in the background (you’ll know it when you see it). And yeah… it kinda crashes the party. It photobombs the perfect view like an uninvited guest at a royal wedding. But even that can’t dull the radiance of the Stacks. They’re just too iconic. Final word? GO. Go now. Cancel your plans. Book that ticket. These rocks are waiting to rock your entire existence!

I have lived in California my entire life, north, south, but never did much exploring in central until recently. I've driven by the stacks numerous times on the way up to Big Sur/Cambria and have to admit, I was a bit terrified of them at first but grew to admire them. This is an old generating facility that has been decommissioned, I work for a major utility company so I see generating facilities, substations and bulk transmission lines in a different lens. Many see as an eye sore, but we in the industry appreciate the engineering and effort that goes into providing electricity to our neighbors. Today, I was driving down hwy 1 and told wife "we are going to see stacks today." She didn't get it, until, she got close. They truly are impressive and almost a silent beacon in Morrow Bay. I heard they will be removing them, due to expenses of upkeep. I say tear down the generating facility building and substation, leave the stacks! Save the stacks! They will be a tombstone, 1 for generation, 1 for substation, 1 for our Lord and heavenly father, Jesus Christ, who will be sitting at the side of every coastal generating facility in California, in heaven, due to environmental concerns. All Christians know of these truths.

Passing through Morro Bay today and as we approached town, what to my wondering eyes should appear but 3 shining beacons, glimmering in the sun. The strength radiating from this trio of ramrods thrusting up from the terra firma, soaring towards the heavens, girded my loins and set my soul ablaze. I set about my tasks with a gusto. A sense of calm purpose beset my mind as the world became my jigsaw puzzle, each piece sliding together with the satisfactory feeling of two halves creating a seamless whole. As the evening gave way to the darkness of the pacific night, and the guttural screeching of sea birds stumbled across the breeze like perfume, I once again gazed upon the stacks. O mighty stacks. Crimson orbs encircled each monolith, a set of three climbing ever higher. Whilst their lower brethren lay still, the spheres on high pulsed as the blood rushing through my body, through my brain, through my heart. What wonders I have seen. A perfect 5/7
