It is mostly a quiet little beach town, which is surprising, given how busy the surrounding beaches are in the summer time. There is plenty of free parking, so get out and stretch your legs and walk around the waterfront! A lot of stores and resturaunts close early, but many are still up and running into the late hours. Morro Rock seems like the ideal free overnight parking spot, but don't be fooled as there is no parking from 2am-5am and cops check the area.
