Great new spot in Morro Bay with super friendly owner and staff. Pretty solid menu, they make almost everything in house so the food is nice and fresh. Great spot over the water to hang out and grab some food. Tried the Mahi Mahi Bay Basket with sweet potato fries and the kids BBQ tri tip sandwich with tots. The Kids menu is a great deal, $13 for a good size sandwich and side with a drink, in our case milk. Definitely would work as a big kids meal! The tri tip was tender and had some nice color to it, sauce was sweet and a bit tangy and everyone enjoyed a bite. The Mahi Mahi was breaded perfectly, not too thick, not oily, just a nice crunch with a flaky fish inside. Nice size portion with 5 pieces on a bed of fries. I was surprised to see sweet potato waffle fries, but they were fun and delicious. Looking forward to enjoying more food from here and grabbing a beer when they get their license.

Has a beautiful view of the bay. Went to try the chowder everyone raves about. The clam chowder was rich and creamy and so good. My husband tried the roasted red pepper soup which was good as well. I had the baja fish tacos. Huge amount of food and very good. My husband had the ribs. They were ok. The cole slaw just not so good. Alot of french fries and they were good. The bread served with the soup and ribs was so very good, great flavor. Disappointed because when the soup was brought out, the server told us the rest of our order was ditting under a heat light until we were ready. We actually had to call the restaurant to have the server bring thre rest of our food. So while the food was decent, the service could be improved. May go back for the chowder and to try a burger.

First time here and we’re glad we did. The Bloody Mary was the bomb!!! It’s a meal in itself. Served with toppings of a Bacon, Celery, Pickled Olive, Yellow Peppers and Onions. Enjoyed licking the Tajin on the rim of my chilled glass. The Bowl of Clam and Crab Chowder was excellent with the Garlic Bread. We also enjoyed the Buffalo Hot Wings with Ranch Dipping Sauce. We’re stuffed. My wife ordered a second Bloody Mary and it was a bit late (the place was busy) and we wanted to cancel it but the waitress apologized for bringing it late so she offered to her on the house. Great service, wonderful location with a view and excellent food. We’re definitely coming to try the other great looking food on their menu.

I had been reading about this new restaurant and I'm always looking for restaurants with a view, so decided to give it a try. It's upstairs, and we sat out on patio. It has a great view of the rock and fun watching the sea otters. There's a lot of seagulls, so be on the watch and keep your beer covered. Some lady got pooped on. We waited almost 30 minutes while waiting for menus, so I just decided to go inside and grab them myself. The waiter was helping people who came in after us, and it became apparent that we were invisible. So after further waiting, I just went back inside to order. The lady at counter apologized for the wait and did offer us dessert on the house, but we didn't feel like waiting for dessert, so she ended up taking 15% off the bill. I ordered the hot chicken sandwhich with garlic fries, but there was no heat whatsoever. My boyfriend ordered tri tip sandwhich and tots. He said it was a little dry. The tots were nice and crispy. The staff was nice but not sure if they need to hire more people or do more training. I was really routing for this place, but I think we might be more inclined to go to Dockside next door.

The bathrooms are downstairs, but they were not in use at the time. There's public restrooms farther down the road...

We come to MB regularly and struggle to find a good place to eat. We stumbled upon the Morro Grill and decided to go. We were warmly welcomed and served quickly. The place is really nice inside, looks newly refreshed, and has a nice outdoor patio. We had the Western Tri tip sandwich, which came with a salad. The salad was really good with lots of fresh veggies and a delicious ranch dressing. Our sandwiches came nice and hot, and were over the top delicious. The Tri tip was perfect through and through. The BBQ sauce was really good, and just the right amount. The onion straws on the sandwich were a nice addition with some added flavor and crunch to the large sandwich served on a garlic roll. The owner we spoke with was very friendly and excited about the restaurant. Excellent experience all around. We’ll definitely return on our next visit to try some of the other interests if items on the menu. Be sure and get some Salt Water Taffy from Crills just a...

Must say the food here is amazing. I had the Mahi Grilled with fries and coleslaw and a side of Clam chowder. It was all delicious. Mahi can tend to be a tougher fish that can be over grilled it was not the case here it was light and moist, and it came in strips. Absolutely delicious. The clam chowder was good as well. It’s made with clams and crab with shrimp on top. It was very good.

My partner had a jalapeño burger with fries as well and he’s a tough one when it comes to burgers never enough jalapeños on them. They did very well with that and he loved his hamburger. All the staff was pleasant service was spot on and the owner is very lovely and we wish her all the best. We weren’t quite sure what to expect because it’s a grill, but we were pleasantly surprised and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much for being there and we wish you continued success. Dan and Melanie P.S. Sorry for no pictures. We were too hungry...
