Denman's Hardware Inc — Attraction in Munising

As someone from out of town, I have to say the service here is very poor. We were helped by a lady and she seemed to think we were trying to steal something and kept glaring at us while we were shopping. We accidentally walked into a badly marked "no customer access" area and she again acted like we were just trying to steal even though we apologized and immediately left that area. I politely asked if there was a public restroom, I got a very rude, sudden "no PUBLIC restroom". I try to not make negative reviews, however, I was just shocked by the lack of manners and general customer service here. Not trying to bring down a family run business, just wanting to leave some feedback so they can hopefully become a better run place...

Hi all! I am a local resident of the Munising area. I have a few thing's to say regarding this hardware! If you like being treated like a thief then shop here! If you purchase something from this store and try to return it with your receipt 15 minutes latter well GOOD LUCK!! Further more let's talk about price gouging if something is in demand well expect a 30% increase on what ya need! Before i would purchase anything from this store again i would drive 100 miles to Home Depot! The owner is rude and arrogant!! If you are in the Munising area and need hardware go up the street to Madigan hardware where they welcome your business all day...

Stopped in for a small bulb to replace a burned out one in our camper. Found it, no problem. The clerk and a customer were having a very funny discussion, that carried over to us and then we were all laughing. Very friendly place and just a great classic hardware store. They have household repair needs, hunting, fishing, and camping supplies.... we even found one of those electrified tennis racket things for killing flies. We will frequent this store again when...
