Cooter’s Nashville is a must-visit for any Dukes of Hazzard fan, offering an impressive selection of memorabilia, collectibles, and a small but well-stocked museum dedicated to the legendary show.

The Good:

The store carries a massive selection of Dukes of Hazzard merchandise, from apparel to diecast cars and everything in between.

The museum area in the back is a great touch—it can be a quick 10-minute walk-through or a several-hour experience, depending on how much you want to stop, read, and admire.

For true fans, there are optional photo packages available that let you pose with and even sit inside some of the iconic Dukes of Hazzard vehicles, both inside and outside the building.

The Not-So-Good:

The biggest downside is the frequent staff turnover, and unfortunately, the retail employees don’t always seem particularly enthusiastic about the Dukes of Hazzard legacy.

With such a passionate fanbase, it would be great if the store hired people who truly appreciate the show, rather than staff who seem to just be there for a paycheck.

Final Thoughts: If you’re a Dukes of Hazzard fan, you won’t be disappointed by the selection of memorabilia and the museum experience. Just don’t expect much excitement or engagement from the...

For fans of the original “Dukes Of Hazzard” TV Show (1979-1985) there is a really neat museum and gift shop called “Cooters” in Nashville Tennessee. They also have two other locations, but this one is the largest.

The shop is made up of historic items both from the show set itself, but also the endless amount of officially licensed items and collectibles that were produced in the height of the shows popularity. There is also a replica of the General Lee, Cooters Tow Truck, Daisy’s Jeep and the Police Car! I even noticed a bunch of Dukes of Hazzard Ducks and got a “Daisy Duke Duck” to give away to someone who can convince me they need it. Haha.

The show was a little before my time, and according to many has not aged gracefully. For me, I just remember the cool orange car jumping ramps over rivers. Haha.

If you are a fan of the show, or just looking for a free interesting museum and attraction to visit, Cooters may be worth adding to your...

And to think I almost didn't go. Cooter's is one hell of a blast from the past. It has all sorts of Dukes of Hazard memorabilia, some of which broughtback old memories. Once I realized how much it had, I asked if they had the DoH board game. I used to play it as a kid with my grandma. Sure enough it was there! So many good memories. Admission is free. You can pay to get a picture inside General Lee, otherwise you can take a picture of it from the outside. It might seem like a glorified memorabilia museum but it has lots of pictures of the cast and moments while filming the show. If you didn't know there was more than one General Lee, SURPRISE, those cars didn't make it out alive after 1 jump. Amazing stuff. That being said it may take 1 hour tops to view everything. Wish they would've had a General Lee Christmas ornament. I would have taken that sucker home.

I grew up watchin The Dukes, used to be my favorite show as a kid, Nashville is home to a shopping list of treasures and this is one on that list. Even not being a big fan of The Dukes of Hazzard just the scene and environment is enough to have you amazed. It’s incredible the trinkets, tools, and even clothing they used to make for this iconic series. AND the employees were awesome, enthusiastic, helpful, truly made the experience 5 stars. Sadly don’t have pictures of the stickers but we got 4 different Dukes stickers and some more merch. The store was amazing, if I was a millionaire I would have bought half the merch in there at least ! Cooter, the Dukes, and I’m sure the entire set would be proud of this establishment. THANK YOU Cooters Garage for the vibez and we will be back soon ❀
