I recently had the pleasure of teaching a WSET class at Nelson's Green Brier Distillery, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The hospitality provided by the staff was truly remarkable, making our educational event both enjoyable and memorable.
From the moment we arrived, Stefanie, Codie, and Mike W welcomed us with warm smiles and a level of professionalism that set the tone for the entire day. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring our comfort and success were evident in every aspect of the event.
Stefanie's organizational skills were impeccable, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and on schedule. Codie's assistance added an extra layer of depth and Mike W's willingness to go the extra mile to accommodate our needs was greatly appreciated, and his friendly demeanor made everyone feel at ease. I highly recommend the Whiskey Sour!! I am a believer.
The venue itself was perfect for our class, providing a unique and inspiring setting that complemented the educational content. The facilities were top-notch, and the ambiance of the distillery added a special touch to the overall experience.
In conclusion, the hospitality at Nelson's Green Brier Distillery exceeded all expectations. Stefanie, Codie, and Mike W went above and beyond to ensure that our WSET class was a success. I highly recommend this venue for any event, and I look forward to returning in the future. Thank you for an...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of visiting Nearest Green Distillery this past week. We decided to rent a car and take the drive from Nashville. We were excited to add some Black history to our Nashville trip. The drive was a lot quicker than we thought even with the slight traffic.
When we arrived the property was beautiful and parking was easy(I’m a New Yorker parking is important 😂). We were able to easily check-in and given a quick overview of what to expect. A few short minutes later we were greeted by Xavier and our tour began. Xavier was great. Friendly, knowledgeable, and is clearly passionate about what he does. That man knows his Whiskey.
My ancestors are from Tennessee and it was great learning some of the history of Tennessee. Can’t forget the whiskey. We got to taste 5 different whiskey/rye options. There are a few options that are only available at the distillery so we purchased something in our way out.
If I had to improve anything I would make two suggestions 1) have a smaller sampler option of all the whiskeys for purchase (the 750ml options are big especially for those of us traveling and not checking a bag) 2) I feel like there should be a 10% or so discount on purchases for people who take the tour. It would encourage more spending and feel like a deal for the visitor.
I can’t wait to come back in 10years to see how much it has grown. If you’re visiting Tennessee make sure you...
Read moreIf you like Bourbon then this tour is a must while in Nashville! Its easy to find being in the city and just on the north side of i40. They are doing limited seating and masks are required right now but on-line reservations are simple to do to ensure a spot at the bar. When you walk in the door its a simple check-in and then some comfortable seats while you wait for your tour to begin. Our tour came with a welcome drink, gingerbeer/lemonade/whiskey, tasty! We had Harry as our guide today. He was full of energy and entertaining! He made it fun while learning the history of the Nelson brothers family and the distillery in general. He teaches you the proper way to taste whiskey then walked us through 4 samples of their whiskey and bourbons. After the tour is over there is a gift shop where you can buy the whiskey or bourbons that you liked along with logo shirts, hoodies, wooden Christmas ornaments...and other souvenirs. The ladys in the shop were very help and patient as I was figuring out what all I wanted. Overall a great experience, would recommend this to anyone looking for a...
