I had recently scheduled a make-up appointment here on Feb 14th. I’ve had my makeup done here before and was extremely excited to go again. When I arrived, I was met with an employee and told her I had an appointment. She smiled and told me to hold for a second. After about 10min, I found another employee and asked if she could help me. She called on the radio and my makeup artist came out. Her name was Alexandria, I believe. She informed me immediately that she wasn’t sure how I was able to book at 90min appointment and told me she only had time for a 60min appointment. I was sad, but I accepted it and she began my makeup. We were sitting a skin care booth so my chair was not in front of the mirror to check my makeup. However, I showed her a picture of what I wanted and put my complete trust in her. I could tell that everything just seemed completely rushed. The foundation felt heavy as she kept caking it on my face. I’m not well with conflict, so I just continued to trust the process since I’ve never had a bad experience (I’m totally aware I should’ve checked, but fear of conflict stopped me). When she was done, I looked in the mirror and was so embarrassed about how I looked for a gala I needed to attend. I regret not having a photo! I looked awful! I couldn’t say anything because I knew I would just cry and it was too crowded to make a scene. As soon as I get to my car, under my eye, the makeup was coming OFF! It was insane! On top of her charging me $90 for the 90min after she told me she didn’t have time to do that! I was so angry that she thought her work was good. She should not do make up at all. It was so disappointing and she was very careless with her work because she “didn’t have the time”. When I called to speak to a manager, I explained what happened and was told someone would reach out to me and to this day, no one has reached out. It’s awful that there has been no follow up. I took all of my makeup off and redid it myself! It was the WORST experience and I do not trust to ever return after a careless and blown off appointment and no follow up...
Read moreI went in to Sephora, on my birthday, with the intent of someone helping me find several makeup items. There were several people in the store, but most the employees were just standing around, not doing anything at all. I asked someone to help me match my foundation and help me get started on picking my items, but she told me they were far too busy to help me today. That I could make an appointment and come back. I explained that I wasn't aware of this rule, I just needed help finding foundation, to which she rolled her eyes, brought me to a machine and it told me my color and one option for foundation. Out of the millions they have. She didn't offer to put it on to color match it to my face or anything of the sort. I asked for a small sample to bring home so I could see for myself. Once again, with attitude, she did so. I walked out, frustrated and insulted. I'm a VIB member and wasn't cared for at all. The color and the foundation, are completely wrong, after trying at home I figured it out myself. I went to Nordstrom where they were more than willing to drop eveyrhing to help me find my makeup. Honestly, these girls know about as much as I do that are working here and are certainly not better than me, which is what was proposed. If you want someone to generally help and care, I suggest...
Read moreThe absolute worst Sephora I have ever been to! Every time I go there the workers are unfriendly and I have to search for someone to help me. Today and I went in and the manager, Melinda, was AWFUL! She is one of those people who smile and say sorry, there is nothing I can do for you here and just blink her eyes. Did not care about our issue at all. If I was head of Sephora, I would definitely put her back in training to learn how a manager should speak to their customers. One of the employees didn't even know her name? How do you not know your managers name? Anyways, I completely understand that I can't return a product but it was the way she talked to me and my friend that really made us upset.
Basically what happened is we bought a perfume sample kit where once you try the sample you get a coupon to redeem for a "full size". We asked the employee there what does "full size" mean and she took the box, went somewhere and came back and said we can redeem for a 3.4 oz. So we purchased the sample box. I get home and find out that you can only redeem for a 1oz. So we brought it back and told the manager and she said we can't return it and that we should read the box and not always go by what an employee says. Horrible customer service in my opinion. ...
