Really amazing place. It's smack dab in the middle of centennial Park, which itself is really beautiful. So many people enjoying it. As you walk around the Parthenon, it's really crazy to think how this is a exact replica of the real one. It's really beautiful on all sides. There is an entrance on the bottom area not facing parking lot. It was hard for us to find the entrance. It was $15 a piece for us to go inside. There is a museum to check out with the information on the Parthenon and how this one here in Nashville came about. We also had an art gallery within the museum. When you go upstairs and you are met with this huge replica of the goddess Athena. Absolutely beautiful and it's huge off to another room. There are also replicas of more statues within the Parthenon that were casted for the Parthenon in Nashville, if you're in the area, I would definitely suggest you stop by. Even if you're not able to go in during the museum hours, the outside is still really great in the park is...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to visit the Parthenon while in Nashville simply out of curiosity! When we arrived at Centennial Park… the Parthenon was front & center! What an amazingly beautiful replica.
However, it’s a once and done visit, to be quite honest. From the front, once cannot tell that you can enter the building/museum. It’s not at all difficult to figure that out, tho, as you walk around the structure.
There’s a small gift store directly thru the front door before the ticket purchase counter. For $15 per person you have the ability to wander thru the museum and learn about the Greek Gods, the building of the actual Parthenon, see the statue of Athena & Nike, and view artwork from local artists.
This does sound great & grand… but it is actually quite underwhelming! Walking through the 2 floors of displays, visiting the gift shop, and walking around the grounds outside…takes...
Read moreWe loved the exhibit itself, but the customer service was horrible, all because of ONE ticket taker. She did not greet us with any kind of welcoming message, such as "Welcome, how can I help you." Three of us purchased tickets and I stated, "we are paying separately". Obviously she did not hear me through the glass, and when she asked, "how are you paying", I stated it again, "....separately". She then stared at me for a long time, trying to be intimidating. Once we paid she never said thank you, have a good visit, etc. Very rude and awkward. On our way out, I noticed she was cold and rude to every customer. Like there is only one ticket choice and prices vary based on age. It is not that hard. Maybe some training on good customer service may adjust...
